KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties must remain united and be in harmony with each other as the coalition gears up to face the 15th General Election (GE15).
Selangor Umno Youth vice-chief Amin Mohd Shukor said it was imperative for BN to be free from any attempt which could create disunity in the political pact.
Speaking on behalf of BN Youth movements, he called on BN top leadership under the chairmanship of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the existing federal administration under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to formulate and continue implementing people-centric framework which stresses on improving the welfare and wellbeing of the people.
"Apart from championing for betterment of the people's welfare, what is important is for the coalition (BN) to remain united and harmonious in facing the polls.
"We must protect the coalition from any entity seeking to sow disunity.
"BN must become a formidable unit in order for it to continue fighting for the welfare and wellbeing of the people," he said.
Amin told this to reporters on the sideline of the launching of the BN Youth machinery at Titiwangsa Stadium here today.
He said the BN Youth movement has also fully endorsed and will back Ismail Sabri 100 per cent to continue leading the nation.
He added the Youth movements want all efforts towards elevating the livelihood of the people to continue before and after the polls.
"We would like to show our support for the party's leadership under Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
"Together with the prime minister, we hope both leaders will continue to formulate the best initiatives that benefit the people," he said.
