PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today questioned his immediate predecessor's claim that he has failed to manage the country's economy.
Ismail Sabri said all parties shouldered the responsibility of steering the nation's economy, including the National Recovery Council chaired by former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
"Managing the economy is a shared responsibility. If he claims that we have failed, then all of us have failed too, including the National Recovery Council.
"I do not know what the story is exactly because I have not read (Muhyiddin's post)," he said after launching the National Energy Policy 2022-2040 at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, here.
Earlier today, Muhyiddin called on Ismail Sabri to call snap polls, saying the government under his leadership had failed to manage the economy.
The Pagoh member of parliament said holding the 15th General Election will pave the way for a caring, effective and corruption-free government to take the country forward.
