Zuraida to reveal names of 3 MPs set to join PBM on Oct 1

PETALING JAYA: The names of the three members of parliaments set to join Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will be revealed during its annual general meeting on Oct 1, in a move to bolster the fledgling party's presence at the Dewan Rakyat.

PBM president-designate Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin said the names of two state assemblymen crossing over to the party would also be announced during the meeting.

"Not yet (to reveal the names). My AGM will be held on October 1. So, you come to my AGM," she said.

On Sept 10, Zuraida claimed three MPs and two assemblymen were expected the join PBM before the next general election.  

She said their participation would increase PBM's stake of parliamentary seats to seven and the same for its state seats.

"PBM will move to defend seven parliamentary seats ad seven state seats in the upcoming general election. Insyaallah."

Currently, at the Dewan Rakyat, PBM is represented by Zuraida who is Ampang MP, Julau MP Larry Sng, Tebrau MP Steven Choong Shiau Yoon and Lahad Datu MP Datuk Dr Mohamadin Ketapi.

As for the party's state seats, it is currently represented by two Selangor assemblymen whom are Haniza Talha (Lembah Jaya), and Dr Daroyah Alwi (Sementa) followed by three Perak assemblymen Leong Cheok Keng (Malim Nawar), A. Sivasubramaniam (Buntung), and Paul Yong Choo Kiong (Tronoh).
