KOTA BARU: Any party seeking political cooperation with Pas in facing the 15th general election (GE15) should not impose any conditions.

Pas vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said a proper discussion between the Islamic party and other political entities had to take place before any conditions are considered.

"Both parties must discuss what kind of cooperation can be adopted as part of GE15 preparations.

"They should not impose any conditions before such a meeting," he said. 

Yesterday, Umno issued an ultimatum to Pas to sever ties with Bersatu if it wished to resume political cooperation with Umno in facing GE15.

Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was reported as saying that the party had set three main conditions for Pas, including leaving the Perikatan National coalition.

Zahid said he had conveyed the conditions to Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang during a meeting recently.
