KUALA TERENGGANU: The state Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) is not prepared to put candidates to face the upcoming state elections.
State Pejuang chairman Datuk Wan Nazari Wan Jusoh said that the party's focus was to strengthen its position and appeal.
Apart from that, he said that at the state level, Pejuang was also working hard to attract more youths to join the party.
"To date, at state level, Pejuang is not ready yet to face the state elections which are expected to be held sometime in June," he said when contacted today.
During the recently-concluded General Election (GE-15), Pejuang had eight contestants vying for eight Parliamentary seats in the state of Terengganu. However, they only managed to poll 2,905 votes.
Wan Nazari, who is also Pejuang's Profchief, said that the party's top leadership at national level have not issued any instructions or directives to get ready to face the coming state elections.
