NEW DELHI: Malaysia's High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Badli Hisham Adam presented his credentials to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Palace in Kandy on Thursday.
Badli Hisham was among the 17 newly-appointed ambassadors and high commissioners to Sri Lanka who presented their credentials, according to a statement by the President's Media Division.
Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabri and Wickremesinghe's secretary Saman Ekanayake were present on the occasion.
Badli Hisham joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1996.
Before his Sri Lanka posting, he served as minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Kazakhstan.
His overseas assignments have included stints in Ankara, Turkey and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. - BERNAMA
