KUCHING, Feb 5 — The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) Sarawak will launch its Mobile Counter this month.

Its Volunteer and Community Service Bureau head and Sibu district coordinator Jonathan Yii said such mobile counter is meant to listen to the voices on the ground.

“To be able to go to the public to listen to the voices of the people, the party will set up mobile service counters in crowded places in major cities namely Sibu, Kuching, Miri and Bintulu every month to facilitate the public and to listen to the voices of the people,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Yii said through such mobile counter, Muda Sarawak hopes to establish good relations with the community and bring their problems to the relevant government departments or agencies to seek best solutions.

“In addition to this, we will be planning more community activities in the future and may all our efforts bring more positive changes to Sibu and Sarawak as a whole.

“If you see us somewhere in Sibu, you are welcome to talk to us, and we would love to talk to you and listen to you,” he said.

He said although Muda did not contest or win any seats in the 2021 state election and 2022 general elections, the party had successfully distributed 2,500 food aid to poor families in Sarawak last year through its own efforts and the co-operation with non-profit government organisations.

He added that such effort was meant to ease the people’s burden and listen to their voices.

The public are encouraged to follow Facebook page ‘Muda Sarawak’ and Muda Sarawak chairman Facebook page ‘Jeffery Ngui’ for more information.
