KUALA SELANGOR: Tan Sri Noh Omar, who was sacked from Umno last month, expressed willingness to speak at any events organised by political parties if he is invited, as he is now an independent speaker (penceramah bebas).

He said currently he doesn't have plans to join any particular party.

"I'm taking a break now but I can confirm that I am now an independent speaker. If Bersatu (Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia) invites me in the upcoming state elections, I will come and give a talk.

"If Pas invites me, I will also come. I will speak the truth. If Umno is willing to invite (me), no problem," he said at a solidarity event attended by about 200 supporters and veteran members of the Tanjong Karang Umno division.

Asked if PN leaders approached him to join the coalition, the former division chief said he was friendly to everyone.

Noh was among Umno members sacked from the party for violating the party's constitution in the 15th general election (GE15).

The party has also suspended Sembrong member of parliament Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein, former Umno information chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan, Tebrau Umno division chief Datuk Maulizan Bujang and Jempol Umno division chief Datuk Seri Mohd Salim Shariff from the party for six years.
