The MCA president said this following a roundtable meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which was attended by 37 leading movers of the Chinese business and finance community.

"It saw a multitude of issues, ideas and recommendations being raised and discussed for mutual Malaysia-China cooperation.

"There is keenness here to bring more Chinese investments to Malaysia in view of the great potential and conducive investment environment that we have," Dr Wee said in a Facebook post on Saturday (April 1).

"Congratulations indeed on this insightful and progressive dialogue to the Prime Minister, the International Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz and his team," he added.

In another Facebook post, Dr Wee also said the 19 MoUs signed between Malaysian and Chinese corporations worth RM170bil is the largest ever in Malaysian history

Anwar's maiden visit to China as Prime Minister was backed by a 200-member trade delegation from Malaysia.
