PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced an additional RM2 million allocation for the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service Association (PPTD).

He said the special fund would allow it to carry out its programmes and initiatives more effectively.

He urged administrative and diplomatic officers (PTD) to "think outside the box" in improving civil service in line with new developments including energy transition and digital transformation.

"Yes, we have rules and procedures but you're smart.

"I, myself, hold discussions with secretary-generals and director-generals every few months on how we can improve governance," he said in his keynote speech at the townhall session with PPTD held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) today.

Also present were chief secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, Public Service Department director-general Datuk Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz and PPTD president Datuk Seri Isham Ishak.
