KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 25): Three of UEM Sunrise Bhd’s (KL:UEMS) projects in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, with a combined gross development value (GDV) of RM499 million, have been fully taken up during their respective previews, according to a press statement issued on Wednesday.
These projects are Aspira Hills (Phase 1) landed homes, DiReka Square shop offices and Aspira LakeHomes (Phases 4, 5 and 6) landed houses.
In the statement, UEM Sunrise CEO Sufian Abdullah said, “We are incredibly proud of the overwhelming responses to the latest Aspira and DiReka previews. This milestone underscores UEM Sunrise’s strong presence in Johor’s property market and our ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable, high-quality housing.”
Open for sale on Sept 21, Aspira Hills (Phase 1) offers 272 double-storey terraced homes that come in four-bedroom and three-bathroom layouts with built-ups from 1,673 to 1,987 sq ft and selling prices from RM576,300 to RM1.03 million. The project has a GDV of RM198 million.
DiReka Square, comprising two- and three-storey shop offices at Laman DiReka in Puteri Harbour was opened for preview on Sept 22. The project comprises 67 units with built-ups from 3,077 to 10,220 sq ft and selling prices from RM1.477 million to RM 5.17 million. The project has a GDV of RM158 million.
Aspira LakeHomes' double-storey terraced houses Phases 4 and 6 were open for sale on July 20 while Phase 5 was unveiled on Sept 11. All three phases have a combined total of 147 double-storey landed homes that come in built-ups from 2,072 to 2,821 sq ft and selling prices from RM712,300 to RM1.129 million. The project has a GDV of RM143 million.
Sufian added that this strong demand highlights the positive outlook of Iskandar Puteri, especially with the solid progress of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and its strategic position between Johor and Singapore.
“Our developments are well-located near the Gerbang Nusajaya Interchange, significantly enhancing connectivity in the area and reducing travel time to the Tuas Checkpoint to just 15 minutes. As interest in the Iskandar Malaysia property market rises, we anticipate continued appeal from both investors and homebuyers.
“As we approach Budget 2025, we advocate for policies that promote affordable housing, green building practices, and financing for sustainable projects, which will be key drivers of long-term growth in the region,” he added.
