KUALA LUMPUR: The TikTok claim of RM200 monthly aid credited to MyKad is false, warns the Finance Ministry (MoF).
In a statement on X, the ministry said that investigations revealed two accounts, @moh.khairul457 and @muhammad.dato.amr, were urging individuals to submit personal information to a scammer's Telegram account.
"Be cautious about fake offers like this on social media. Follow official Finance Ministry channels and ensure links are genuine and accurate," it said.
The ministry also reminded the public to avoid clicking on any link unless verified, to protect themselves from falling victim to fraud.
So far, the video uploaded by @moh.khairul457 has garnered 4.7 million views, while @muhammad.dato.amr has received 142,300 views on TikTok.
