FBM KLCI: 1,590.16 pts (+4.42pts, +0.28%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.3%) finished the week on a positive note despite the mixed performances in the regional markets. Market breadth, however, turned negative as the losers hammered the gainers by 620-to-393 stocks. The energy sector (+3.0%) emerged as the biggest winner on the broader market, underpinned by gains in HENGYUAN (+17.0 sen), YINSON (+10.0 sen), and PETRONM (+9.0 sen) on the back of the spike in Brent oil prices following the rising tension from the Mid East developments.
