In tandem with the mixed regional markets’ performance, the FBMKLCI (-0.85%) extended its losses, closing at the lowest for the week around 1,618 level as selling pressure from Banking and Utilities heavyweights, namely PBBANK (-11.0 sen) and YTLPOWR (-22.0 sen), dragged down sentiment on the index. The market breadth was negative, with losers outnumbering gainers by 656-to-354 stocks. In the broader market, Construction (+0.51%) sector gained the most, led by GAMUDA (+9.0 sen) and IJM (+3.0 sen), while Utilities (-1.63%) sector was the laggard.
