Working Experience
Mohd Shahazwan Mohd Harris was appointed as the Head, Strategic Investments of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in January 2022, which is a new department established to invest, oversee and manage EPFs investments in strategic assets and sectors.
He has more than 20 years of experience in investments, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio and asset management, corporate strategy and restructuring. Prior to joining EPF, Shahazwan was the Chief International Officer at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), where he helped TNB to pivot its international business to focus to renewables and new energy opportunities.
Shahazwan began his career at TNB, before joining PA Consulting Group in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, and then Boston Consulting Group. He then worked at Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) for 11 years, from 2005 to 2016, where he covered investments across Asia and Europe. After Khazanah, he assumed senior advisory roles at Bain & Co (Kuala Lumpur/ Southeast Asia) and Temasek International Advisory (Singapore) and remains on the Advisory Board of Stashaway.
He held several board positions in companies such as UMW Holdings Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad, Opus International Consultants Limited (listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange) and Malaysia Airlines Berhad. He was also the Chief Strategy Officer at UEM Edgenta Berhad, before rejoining TNB in 2019.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
