Mr. Surendran was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001. Before he was called to the Bar, he worked in numerous companies such as Resorts World Genting (1991), Western Food Industry Sdn. Bhd. (1993), Glaxo Wellcome (1998). He also served as an Industrial Relations Officer with the National Union of Commercial Workers (1999). In this capacity, he played a key role in negotiating collective agreements and mediating employer-employee disputes. After setting up his legal practice in 2005, in 2009 he decided to combine his geographic footprint and breadth of expertise by merging to form a bigger, stronger, One-Stop Law Firm, under the name of SEKAR GILL & C. SUREN. He has more than two decades of experience, possess the skills, knowledge and the commercial awareness to provide high-standard legal services specifically tailored to meet his clients legal requirements, however diverse. He has a deep understanding of his clients business, which enables him to anticipate clients needs and assist them in their decision-making process by offering consistent, knowledgeable guidance based on their specific goals and objectives. His clients view him as a valued legal advisor. Surendran has served the Bar in various capacities and was selected to represent the Malaysian Bar at the Commonwealth Law Conference in Melbourne, Australia in 2003. He has served as legal adviser to several associations and private bodies.
