He joined United Engineers (Malaysia) Bhd in 1988 as Gneral Manager until 1991 when he was promoted to Project Director. He was the Managing Director of Linkedua (M) Bhd and Prolink Development Sdn. Bhd., which are companies involved in the construction of the second link in Johor and development of the Nusajaya township from 1993 and 1995.
