Mr Joseph Tek was redesignated Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director on 18 May 2009. He was the Executive Director from 19 October 2008 to 18 May 2009 besides being the General Manager - Plantations (Sabah). He was also the Alternate Director to Ling Ah Hong from 22 May 2008 to 19 October 2008. Prior to joining the Company in 2004, he was with Sime Darby Plantations Sdn Bhd as Plant Breeder in Ebor Research (1991-1997), R&D Manager with Sime Aerogreen Sdn Bhd (1997-2000) and later Manager-Agritech Business with both Sime Aerogreen Sdn Bhd and Sime Gardentech Sdn Bhd (2000-2001). His last position was Head of R&D with Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) (2001-2004).
