From 1958 to 1994, he served in various capacities and appointments in the Malaysian Armed Forces. Gen (R) Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Hamid is also the Chairman for Jaya Tiasa Holdings Berhad, Halex Holdings Berhad and AXA Affin Life Insurance Berhad, a joint venture company of Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera. He is also the Chairman and Director of a few other multinational and private companies established in Malaysia.
