In 2005, Law Wei Liang began his career as an audit associate with TH Law & Co. In the same year, he joined BDO Binder as a senior associate, where he was responsible for among others, auditing listed and non-listed companies of various industries including manufacturing, trading, food and beverages, hotels, retailers, oil and gas, investment holding and property development. He also involved in auditing internal controls, conducting financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions exercise and initial public offering of companies in Malaysia.
Thereafter, in 2007, he joined Neo & Associates as a senior associate, where he was mainly involved in the auditing small and medium sized companies which are involved in manufacturing, trading, retail, restaurant and investment. He also involved in preparing provisional tax computation in accordance to the Income Tax Act 1967 and assessing the Real Property Gains Tax Act, 1976 implication on acquisition and disposal of land and properties. Additionally, he was engaged with his clients in matters relating to withholding tax.
He left in 2009 and founded Terry Law & Co, a chartered accounting firm specializing in business and professional services, including audit and assurance, company secretarial services, management consultancy services, tax consultation and compliance. Since then, he has been practicing as a public accountant in public practice.
He has been appointed as Corporate Advisor for Optimax Eye Specialist Centre Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Optimax Holdings Berhad in 2021.
