Heard in the 'coffee shop' great news is coming for Tebrau. So keep this stock with a longer term view. "Coffee Shop' talk is that Tebrau may be making profit in the region of billions! Talking rubbish?? Hmmm...I thought so too.... but 'coffee shop' talk is usually more accurate than the news we read in the main stream media.

Could Tebrau be the Malaysian partner in this venture? Don't remember any announcement with regard to Greenland Holding investment in Malaysia. This announcement was made in Shanghai. Is Greenland Holding going to develop the BUND(one of the five epicentres) on Tebrau's land?

Deciphering GPACKET without figures and statistics.

P1 was a 'small kid' on the block when it first went into the Telco business. No one gave them a chance against the big boys. Gpacket invested heavily in resources and manpower to make P1 a success over the years. Because of its persistence, diligence and good leadership, P1 was able to attract world renowned companies such as Intel and SK Telekom to invest in a cash stricken small start-up such as P1. Yes, all in all it has been a tough and arduous journey for P1 and GPacket. Unlike other telcos, P1 and GPacket has got no connections, government sponsorships, well connected tycoons or a foreign parent company to its profile.Despite all these handicaps, they manage to give the big boys a run for their money.
GPacket could have taken the easy road by divesting P1 in totality for a handsome price. P1 has got great assets such as the 2.3 and 2.6 gigahertz band, 550k subscribers and 2000 base stations. (Remember Time Telekom sold the 3G license to Digi for RM500 mil? Only license, no subscribers and no base stations!)
With Telekom Malaysia in P1, P1 will have good management(Gpacket), technology(SK Telekom) and financial/government backing(Telekom Malaysia). GPacket decided to carry on investing in P1 because it can see its vast business potential. 30% of a large successful P1 is much better than a 57% small struggling P1.
If I am a shareholder/owner/management of Digi, Axiata , Ytl-comm or Maxis, I would be very worried.
If there is a convergence of Unifi/Streamyx with P1 offerings of 4G-LTE, it will be the day we wished we had bought GPacket at 47 sen. We shouldn't lament about Gpacket not getting a better bargain out of Telekom Malaysia.
Instead of squabbling with Telekom Malaysia, Gpacket should now be strategizing the NEW P1 to take market share from the rest of the telcos in Malaysia.

Note : Opportunities is the absence.
An affinity towards WTK and Halex because so few people likes it.

Would some bean counters care to value Magna if it were to be taken private? Is it a fair price if it is valued at RM1.60+, when the NAB(fr. Bursa Website) is only 51 sen?

Coffee Shop talk again: B'cos of this multi proposal announcement, it may turn into a higher 'beta' stock for a couple of days. Thereafter, this stock shld be in its 'status quo' for the next six months to a year. Depending on the time taken by the regulators giving the approval and ECOFIRS seeking the subsequent approval from the high court. A good gauge of the whole process is to 'map' the last 3-4 years announcements of MEDAINC against MEDAINC's last 3-4 years price movements. That shld give u an idea of this group's 'modus operandi'.This stock shld logically be trading within a trading band of 18sen to 24.5 sen over the next 6-9 month.

Rumor had it that there will be an announcement on Friday. Some form of restructuring. Maybe rights issue n share consolidation? Hmm....not a counter I would punt if I don't have the inside track. On the record, I have zero interest in this share as of today. In my earlier post, I said it was a turnaround company, I now having second thoughts and reservations

Yesterday, there was a crossing on the board of 50,000,000 shares. Just don't understand why they didn't want to do a direct deal. Rumor that Dialog will be admitted into the MSCI index very soon. Anyone would like to confirm this rumor?

Coffee shop talk about Ecofirs.
Some greedy shareholders wanted to do a placement n wanting the share to be at a low price so they cld buy the shares cheap. But why didn't they carried out theplacement exercise when the price has been hovering aroung 16-18 sen for the last 2 years? Could it be they are financially not strong to take up the placement? Ecofirs has been profitable for the last couple of quarters.Segamat mall is virtually enjoying 100% occupancy and condos are being built all around South Sea Plaza, Its commercial development in Ipoh,Perak is doing well. Definitely this is a turnaround story. Will market forces or greedy manipulators have the upper hand? Rumor that some foreign back funds and foreign broking houses are taking an interest in this counter. Whatever, in the long run, this counter will find the price of its intrinsic value.

Demised of Jiang Daiping as Chief Exec Officer.
From the Bursa filing, it means Jiang is no more the CEO. It does not mean that he is dead!! This company is really getting all investors flabbergasted. It is incomprehensible to see how CSL could be allowed to operate so mysterously on Bursa exchange for such a long time; it is a very sad state of affair for BURSA and its investors.
