Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the king's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

KFIMA value trap? or Potential to tremendous growth?
2016-08-07 10:50 | Report Abuse
KFIMA is definitely undervalued without catalyst, catalyst being positive news to the investment community. KFIMA have to engage analysts and share more exciting news, now that's catalyst.

It's a net cash pile company with low utilisation of liquid asset, kfima has historically been conservative, even with the proposed 10% share buyback. I can bet they will not by any circumstance fully utilise 10%.

Might as well Privatise Both KFIMA and FIMACOR, as more than 60% share direct or indirectly controlled by own family members
2016-05-18 02:02 | Report Abuse
the catalyst will be the buyback and privatization of FIMACOR.
more aggressive share buyback will strengthen share value
2015-11-09 13:57 | Report Abuse
With so much cash in hand, what can the management do to enhance shareholder value? Is there a company share buyback policy (since KFIMA is cheap)? or Merger and acquisition (KFIMA can acquire more FIMACOR shares to enhance earnings)?

KFIMA has got plenty of cash to weather through the storm, unless they are meddle with risky investment/M&A, I'll be revaluate again. These days, cash is definitely king/queen.

large cash holding can be good or bad. Good being... Preparing for worst economic downturn, Preparing for big M&A, Land acquisition, Acquiring new businesses, ...etc
Bad being.... Opportunity cost, FD will depreciate cash value, value lost, cash can do no good unless it's effectively utilised...
Cash can be used to develop human capital, reward staff, reward shareholders, improve process, increase marketing activities/branding... etc..

As long term investors, we need to see that it's just a jitter for Padini share price, shouldn't affect its long term business. IMHO, buy when you understand it's value for money, double check before putting money in a business. Happy investing!

Syariah-complaint do expose Padini to wider range of shareholders. By parking monies to or utilising loans from conventional banking system makes Padini fall short of the Syariah-compliance audit.

NTPM public float is less than 15%, which is why its pricing is relatively stable.
