Redtone recorded losses in 2010 and 2011, but generated 2.1m profit FY2012 and 6m in H12013 already. Redtone already secured 82.5m worth of USP projects issued by MCMC, and from experience, I believe MCMC will issue more projects to Redtone. Not to mention recurring revenues from Maxis for 10 years for spectrum leasing. So YES, this is a long term buy...but IMHO the uptrend has not stopped at least till end of the week :)

Another possibility if they can't push up a certain price level resistance (say max 0.8), then they may consolidate shares by reducing volume and bringing up price per share - something like what TDC did recently

But fundamentally, what's more important wit Redtone is Sultan or Johor buy-up, VT buy-up, and the strong possibility for Redtone being a new mobile operator in Malaysia alongside U-mobile - fundamentals are there. This will be a telco counter. You won't get such share prices again.

Hello all...from my understanding on the DTTB project, we will know a sure winner by Q4 2013. MCMC's announcement may be for round-3 if all 3 submissions do not meet the criteria of DTTB tender requiremetns. This is a bidder-funded project (not Government) so the one with best business plan, network design and viability for content providers to support will probably win.

DIGI shares should not have any adverse effect on this exercise. I know TDC senior management and from general sentiments, they are meant to be valued just like any other telco/celco in Malaysia

DTTB project, they have a stronger then 33.3% chance for sure, the other politically strong candidate is Puncak Semangat (Syed Mokthar's company). The ex-minister part is something I heard - can't verify - it if it happens, it would mean he will replace the existing chairman (the Umno guy). This ex-minister is from related industry *hint*

No, PCHEM has been giving dividends every 1/2 year since 1 or 2 years ago if I recall correctly. Now 14sen per share dividend going ex-5 June...buy buy buy

Guys, I was involved in Redtone's DTTB bid. They are strong, have great consultants and have political support. I also hear an ex-minister will be their new chairman.

I think redtone is a mid-long term buy...guess who's gonna be their new chairman?
