Meanwhile, party sources said a meeting of some of Umno's top leaders yesterday discussed the impact of accepting Muhyiddin's conditional support.
"Umno thinks that Muhyiddin's statement is a threat.
"Umno is worried that Ismail Sabri will not be able to survive, if Bersatu continues to threaten," said another party source.
The source also touched on the incident of 15 Umno members withdrawing support for Muhyiddin who forced the Bersatu president to resign on July 16.
"Now Umno is worried that Bersatu can take the same action. There is no guarantee that a stable government can be formed," he said.
