The “minister” said that all forms of filming, including those for personal social media use, requires a license from Finas. Then the “minister” said when the National Film Development Corporation Act 1981 was enacted, the “social media” phenomenon had not happened so the Act is now inadequate to cover this new phenomena. But yet, he wanted the act to be enforced on all social media videos. Isn’t this a moronic stand, Mr “Minister”? You know fully well the Act is totally inadequate to cover the social media videos and yet you try to to say all handphone videos need a license from Finas. You are basically saying everyone in Malaysia who owns a handphone and who takes a video shot once a while requires a licence from Finas. Not only that, the person need to have a “Sendirian Berhad” company. So does it mean that , if a person does not have a “Sendirian Berhad” company, the person cannot take any video using a handphone? It is common for 8 year-old kids who own handphones to take videos nowadays. How do they apply for filming licenses, given that they are 8 years old? Care to give an explanation, Mr Finas Minister?

He should focus on cataloguing and making books more accessible throughout the country by building council libraries and encouraging more reading.

Why was there no such problems in the late 70s when teaching in English in all secondary schools was changed to teaching in Bahasa Malaysia?
All (or most) of the teachers came from English medium schools, graduated from a University with medium of instruction in English and were happily teaching in English all the subjects (except Malay Language) up to Sixth form.
Asking them to teach in Bahasa Malaysia was not a failure then.

Keep them stupid so that they can be fooled and kept as a vote-bank.

Covid19 spreads rapidly without social distancing and in crowded places and confined spaces. The new cases are mainly not among the locals but foreign workers. The latest clusters are from foreign workers working in restaurants and construction sites. The ones you see not wearing masks are non Malaysians.

The index of a cluster is usually a foreign worker eg the Sepang construction site and a restaurant in Brickfields . Don't Malaysian employers understand that the pandemic has proven that foreign workers need to be terminated and sent home. Their hygiene culture and the habit of living in crowded houses up to 30 people are catalysts to triggering clusters.

Please impose fine and imprison to cluster starter as they taken general public health for granted, irresponsibly ignorant and not taken any preventive measure knowing they are potential super spreader seems they are coming back from abroad.
