(Shah Alam, 9th) The Selangor State Police revealed that a glove manufacturer removed 1,606 employees from their dormitories and transferred them to 8 hotels before the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
Selangor State Police Chief Datuk Azou Naidi disclosed that the police are invoking Article 270 of the Criminal Code (which may spread vicious actions that may spread any life-threatening diseases) to investigate the allegations.
When he held an online press conference today, he said that after receiving the intelligence, the police had quickly identified the eight hotels involved and at the same time did not allow the company's employees to step out of the hotel until everyone was tested for new coronary pneumonia. "We have conducted tests for these employees, but have not yet received the test results."

Azunaidi pointed out that the glove factory is not a key area of the enhanced control zone, but it has continued to operate illegally earlier.

He said that the police had issued instructions through the Ministry of Health and the local government after discussing with officials from the County Land Bureau and the Health Bureau. The glove factory has been closed.
