KUALA LUMPUR, 16 Feb (Bernama) -- Sejumlah RM14.38 juta kerugian dan pembaziran wang awam dialami Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) di bawah Kementerian Pengangkutan melibatkan pembayaran perkhidmatan mencetak kad Lesan Memandu Malaysia (LLM).

Menurut Laporan Ketua Audit Negara (LKAN) 2021 Siri 2, perkara ini berlaku disebabkan oleh kelemahan pemantauan JPJ terhadap peraturan dan perjanjian yang berkuat kuasa.

"Sebanyak 1.83 juta keping kad LLM tidak digunakan bernilai RM14.23 juta dan penalti sejumlah RM149,178 tidak dikenakan terhadap pelanggaran Service Level Agreement (SLA)," menurut laporan LKAN 2021 Siri 2 hari ini.


Melalui laporan itu juga, pihak audit telah mencadangkan beberapa perkara bagi mengatasi kelemahan yang berlaku di jabatan berkenaan.

" Antaranya, melakukan pemantauan terhadap penggunaan stok kad yang dibuat dari semasa ke semasa bagi memastikan penggunaan stok kad itu adalah secara optimum supaya tidak membazir.

"Memastikan SLA dipatuhi oleh syarikat dan sekiranya gagal, penalti atau denda akan dikenakan dengan segera," menurut laporan itu.


Selain itu, laporan itu turut mengesyorkan pemantauan terhadap perkhidmatan dibuat dengan lebih berkesan dengan mengambil tindakan segera terhadap masalah berbangkit.
