Hi there, Pardon me for unprofessional and overly general questions.

1) What is the best developer out there? If I want to buy house.

2) What does an engineer do in the construction industry?

3) What is the green thing around buildings that are in the process of construction?

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is really caught in a bind by the foolish act of his deputy health minister. Consider the following:

Noor Azmi is from Bersatu. He has violated the MCO which had been gazetted. The penalty is a fine or a jail term or both. If Noor Azmi is charged, there is no doubt he would be found guilty and the penalty is a fine of RM1,000. He then has to resign for transparency reasons.

However, Muhyiddin would be under tremendous pressure from Umno and PAS for the cabinet post and the PM could not afford to weaken his grip at this point.

And so, the alternative would be for Noor Azmi not be charged in court at all cost. He then will make a public apology (again) - to test the reaction of the rakyat.

Now, Muhyiddin has to make his next move. Whichever way he decides, he still loses. Indeed, the Almighty works in mysterious ways.

Yes guys, The truth about the housing market is mainly about pricing & current economic outlook.. It has gone beyond the buyer's affordability and this is worsened by the current Covid-19 pandemics which has damages the economic fabrics of Malaysia & many other nations..causing hardship now.. It is foolish for most Malaysian to think about buying house over the next 6-12 months when most of them, including small businessmen are not even sure about holding on to their current jobs or whether their businesses can survive over the next 12 months. Many hotel businesses & smaller airlines have closed worldwide, including Malaysia and some more hotels, tour agencies and retailers are likely to follow suit if the Covid-19 situation persist! Now, the main issue on many citizen's thought is - How to survive this Covid-19 hardship?

Hello guys,

(1) Can the Main Contractor refuse to comply with an Architect’s instruction which requires the acceptance of the quotation of a Sub-contractor chosen by the Architect?

(2) If the Employer gives instructions on site directly to the contractor, must the Contract follow-up with the Architect to confirm those instructions in writing? or just ?

(3) Does the Clerk of Works has the power stop the Works?

Yes guys. In the end, the money was the stumbling block in deciding the status of Ramadan Bazaars amid pandemic and its consequent human miseries.
None of these monies would have been given to the respective government bodies to have eligible for the refund.

These politicians know by one year’s time someone else would be running the show. The cronies of them would appear in new faces resulting in the low-income earners losing their hard-earned monies.

These political elites have no regard for human miseries and hardship. They only care about their greed and egos. Nothing else is matter to them.

(1a) If the Employer cannot give site possession on the due date, can the matter be resolved by the Architect giving an instruction to postpone the Works as per the Contract?

(1b) If the Architect does not grant Time Extension, and the Contractor is required to perform accelerated Works to catch up with the project’s completion schedule, can the Contractor use the Employer’s delay in giving the site possession as a reason to justify a claim for VO?

ViVaFoReVeRLOVE I have three questions related to the contractual issues.

(1) Say the Employer is pressuring the Main Contractor to start work. Is there a problem in the issue of a Letter of Intent?

(2) If a Letter of Intent is issued with a limit of RM1 million, is the employer obliged to pay a higher sum after allowing a contractor to exceed the limit?

(3) Can pre-contract minutes during the tender stage form a binding contract?

kennydowjones! This is like the Japanese propaganda on British as colonizers and they help to remove. Just saving his rice bowl. Already house prices of RM1million was brought down 40 percent and yet couldn’t sell to foreigners. The condo market also was about twenty percent lower than market prices and yet no buyers before covid19.
Looks like prices will drop 40 percent in tandem with 30 percent drop in businesses. Also there will be many cars, houses, condos, factories under the hammer and rentals dropping . Best for buyers to await at least till businesses, palm and crude oil prices stable which may take about a year after covid19 is no more or vaccine found. Many venture capitalists who bought houses etc for rental and to sell at higher prices latter fate will be known if they can hold on after the moratorium is lifted on monthly payments to banks . Looks bleak with a bleaker backdoor regime .

MTUC has never for once gotten anything right. This is another in its long track record of failures. They are just soooo disconnect from the real world. The fallout from closing down the nation is far far greater than anyone dares to imagine. Prolonged lockdown is a precursor to massive job lost which would in turn bring about massive civil unrest unlike anything we have ever seen before.

You want to destroy the country fast? keep it in lockdown for extended period. bodoh betul. And oh btw, totalitarianism are borne out of such lockdowns.

The respondents to the NSC online poll who favor the extension of the MCO are probably civil servants and salaried staff. Hence if the MCO is extended, they will still draw a full salary. Ask if SME and business owners would like the MCO to be extended; I am sure the answer will be an overwhelming "NO". No business running, how will they earn to pay the salaries of their staff. Similar the foreign workers or the real workers that keep Malaysia running would not want the MCO to be extended as they will see a pay cut or if they are being paid when there is work will see no income. Lastly if the MCO is extended to after Hari Raya; I guess many Malaysians will not have to worry about the MCO as may will be massive retrenched as businesses go under.

The pandemic is a national disaster, a catastrophe, which affects the whole world. Everybody is affected, one way or the other. There is no answer to it other than lock-down, which to some extent slow the pandemic.

There is no easy solution to the lock-down. Too harsh, people will complain and too lenient, it will defeat its purpose. We just need to be efficient about this but we do not have the technology and the resources in place. We have to move into that direction, whereby more people are tested (sufficient test kits) and isolated, where PPEs and sanitizers are readily available, and IT technology apps to trace the positive patients and their contacts.

To alleviate the people’s problem, the stimulus package must try to address the hard hits and not waste the fund for those who don’t.

We just have to rough this out until the situation tapers down sufficiently to let go.

Yes it should be extended until end of April but there needs to be some adjustment to “essential services” like basic haircuts, car repairs and servicing, sale of laptops, hand phone and computer gadgets, optician and eye services, launderette etc. Schools, malls and dining-in eateries should still be closed as with ALL gatherings - especially RELIGIOUS or otherwise

Hi nancydrewwhite, If MCO is extended to after Raya, government has to address problems faced by our lower income group to ensure families have enough food and necessities. We are also responsible for documented and undocumented migrants and refugees. They should be cared for and if necessary return them to their countries. Don't let them to remain in limbo here.
In this regard, government could relax restrictions to allow NGOs and charities to cater to their needs temporarily.

Depending on what angle you look at it. From the voters view; Tun is foe. If he really care and concerned that BN or whoever would takeover; what is so difficult for him to set a date. You already earned your national hero status on 509. It’s plain greed that refrained you from stating the handover date.
From the view of politicians; sad to say; you had betrayed Amanah and DAP which they support you in the fullest.
The problem lies on Tun ego and greed; or to commoners it plain selfish.
Agreed no less with YB Khalid; you are not strong; which allow your energy strike you. Don’t blame AA or Muhyiddin. You open up the opportunity for your known energy to have a clean shot.
End of the days; the commoners whom suffer. Period.

Yeah PN will make money from GST. It is just matter of time when to implement GST. Higher Budget Deficit can be financed by higher govt Domestic Bond issuance. This imply higher interest rates at the expenses of the borrower . If BNM lower interest rate mean lower exchange rate at expenses of Importer. After All, it depend on which category you are in!.

It is easy to use money to make people happy. Even najib with his br1m and activities can make anyone happy.

Using money is simple.

But making money and saving money is a totally different exercise.

Making money for the country is never going to a popular move, because it means it has to come from the pockets of interested parties.

How we judge the news prime minister is in how he will assist in pulling Malaysia out of the economic doldrums post covid19 crisis.

That is when we will see if the new government is working well or not.
