The very poor stock price of TA may be a reflection on the perception (poor) of the investment community of the TA board. The board is brankrupt of strategic projects to grow TA, at least that is the view of many stakeholders when there are "no news". Further, the long lapse between financial audit and the declaration of the proposed dividend may be the board's idea (strategy) to make use of the dividend as "interest free loan" for as long as possible. In many ways TA is a poor parent and is not able to create value for its component companies, a good example is TAGB stock price 31 sen par value 50 sen).

Let's hope that some global corporate raiders will notice that TA price is less than 50% of NTA and conduct a surprise move. KLSE policy of LIMIT UP and the often cited target price of RM1.00 will make acquiring majority share easier in as far as the cost of acquisition, since many shareholers will dispose of their shares at RM1.00. If directors intentionally suppress the share price, they invarably serve the corporate raiders' goal. WISHFUL THINKING on APRIL FOOLS' DAY!!!
