Haha those days we do have issue with Kraken. If I remember correctly Armada at one time was suspended from trading due to Kraken. Due to this Leon Harland was replaced with Gary Christensen.

Bumi Armada May Resolve FPSO Vessel's Operations Suspension Soon -- Market Talk

Bumi Armada may resolve its Armada Kraken floating production storage and offloading vessel's suspension of operations in the short term, RHB IB analyst Sean Lim says in a note. He doesn't expect a "lumpy vessel impairment." Based on Lim's estimate, the Armada Kraken FPSO will generate about 30% to 35% of 2023 earnings. He therefore cuts his 2023 earnings forecast for the company by 14%, assuming a three-month interruption and additional maintenance expenses. RHB lowers Bumi Armada's target price to MYR0.73 from MYR0.80 but maintains a buy rating due to its attractive valuation and strengthening balance sheet. Shares are 21% lower at MYR0.50. For Trading, now Mabel is investing in Armada, Sapura and Air Asia. The later 2 are PN17 Companies. Ironically the two PN17 Companies are performing better than Armada in term of trading P&L.

Haha yesterday Mabel re-enter at 49.5 and 49 sen. Yes at current price of 47, Mabel is temporarily stuck. Hopefully not for long. Waiting for rebound after T3. Here's the latest weather forecast by Wall Streets.

This means it has about 39 years of gas left (at current consumption levels and excluding unproven reserves).

Lady Sapura owned oil and gas reserves of 264,000,000 million barrels with a gross value of RM110.8 billion.

Bumi Armada's share-price weakness may be a good opportunity to accumulate, Affin Hwang IB analyst Tan Jianyuan says in a note. He doesn't think the Armada Kraken floating production storage and offloading vessel operations suspension is a major setback and expects a quick fix. "The already low 5X price-to-earnings ratio valuation for 2023-2024 should cushion the share price from declining too sharply," he adds. Tan cuts Bumi Armada's 2023, 2024 and 2025 earnings forecasts by 8.0%, 9.2% and 16%, respectively, assuming a 90-day interruption. Affin Hwang lowers Bumi Armada's target price to MYR0.80 from MYR0.85 but maintains a buy rating on the stock. Shares are 20% lower at MYR0.51. (yingxian.wong@wsj.com)

KUALA LUMPUR: Bumi Armada Bhd said a shut-in at its Armada Kraken floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and future reduced level of production is likely to reduce bareboat charter contract revenue earned by the FPSO.

"Given the current uncertainties, the financial impact of this incident cannot be reliably estimated at this point, but is expected to be material for Bumi Armada," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The group said the Armada Kraken FPSO was recently shut-in following the failure of critical hydraulic submersible pump transformers.

The group is currently assessing alternative technical solutions in a bid to to return the Armada Kraken FPSO to production.

It said its subsidiary, Armada Kraken Pte Ltd, which owns the FPSO, and field operator EnQuest planned and executed a restart of the facility but was unsuccessful.

"Armada Kraken Pte Ltd is working with EnQuest to assess alternative technical solutions, with the aim to return to production, on a phased basis, in the coming weeks.

"In the meantime, key maintenance activities, originally scheduled for execution within two periods of single train operations in the third quarter of the year, are being executed during the period of shut-in," it said

The thing with Malaysia is that we are not of a homogeneous religion, culture or race. So when people ask what’s good about Malaysia? There can be so many answers depending on the person you are asking because Malaysia has so much to offer.

If you ask a foodie, then they will tell you WOW I get to eat food of all the major race of Chinese, Indian and Malay. Ask a beach lover and they will rave about the seaside of Malaya, Sabah & Sarawak. Ask a nature lover, and they will tell you about the reserve forests or mountains of Kinabalu. And if you ask a night life person they will mention the rooftop bar at the Twin Towers!

So when this happens, people can’t associate Malaysia to one specific area and therein lies the problem.

However, the marketing slogan which was created more than 20 years ago still remains today and I think it represents the very strength of Malaysia itself.

If you haven’t heard of it, the slogan is “Malaysia, Truly Asia”

PETALING JAYA: Capital A Bhd is likely to announce its PN17 regularization plan this month and submit it for approval to Bursa Malaysia next month .

The company expects to complete the implementation of its PN17 regularization plan in the fourth quarter of 2023 (4Q23). It aimed for the PN17 status to be lifted before year-end.

Capital A has delayed the submission of its regularization plan upon advice from its advisors to Incorporate its audited financial year 2022 (FY22) financial statements, said Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) Research.

First quarter 2023 earnings: EPS in line with expectations, revenues disappoint
First quarter 2023 results:
EPS: RM0.15 (up from RM0.14 in 1Q 2022).
Revenue: RM4.69b (up 3.8% from 1Q 2022).
Net income: RM1.64b (up 15% from 1Q 2022).
Profit margin: 35% (up from 32% in 1Q 2022). The increase in margin was primarily driven by higher revenue.
Revenue missed analyst estimates by 3.6%. Earnings per share (EPS) were mostly in line with analyst estimates.

Revenue is forecast to grow 5.5% p.a. on average during the next 3 years, compared to a 5.8% growth forecast for the Banks industry in Malaysia.

Over the last 3 years on average, earnings per share has increased by 24% per year but the company’s share price has only increased by 7% per year, which means it is significantly lagging earnings growth.
