Malaysia has managed to stay afloat for the last few decades on two oils. One is petroleum and the other palm oil. Just when our economy was about to go into a doldrum as a result of the recent pandemic, Putin invaded Ukraine and palm oil prices went sky high. It?s price is now double from what it registered during the pandemic shutdown in the last two years reaching almost RM8000 per ton.
