You deal with a middleman, the middleman helps you manage the whole supply line and all you need to do is SELL. Just like how NIKE/Adidas sub their manufacturing to Viet/Cambodia, you get product quick + less problems for you, anything just point to the middleman.

c. Yes I agree, but being suspicious does not mean its bad for us. From what I see, what Russia want from this whole vaccine deals (with or without UCREST) is a show of power.

From a political point of view, it finally their chance to show that their medical capabilities is stronger than China and USA.

IF, provided, Sputnik V performs with the stated 97.6% eficacy, which is the highest so far, AND WITHOUT storage problem like Pfizer.

d. Again, I agree. Yet looking at UCREST business record with Russia, China, and SEA. This is a bet Im willing to take.

UCREST is the middleman with existing contact of these manufacturers, all they need to do is just open the platform and let the business run. I could not think of a reason how manufacturers will decline this deal, as they do not even have to put effort is selling, just need to manufacture.

I personally think UCREST is just lucky because of their ties with RUSSIA, if today it is not RUSSIA that invented such vaccine, the story would be different and the players in the story would be different as well. Such is my humble opinion.

I think most still don't understand UCREST business model for this project.

To put it simply, imagine a village chief tell you to go plant potato so you can feed his whole village of 1000 people.
He teaches you how to plant the best potato in the universe, and in turn, he will buy the potato from you as your reward.

You the farmer, however only have a limited plot of land. Let's say enough land of potato to feed 100 people.
What will happen to the extra 900? You can't let them starve to dead right?

People dying in the village means bad news for the economy, so your village chief really needs the potato.

However, you found out your farmer friends that also have land, but they were planting different crops, corn, rice, or whatever.

So instead of planting that potato yourself, you approach your farmer friends and tell them:

"Hey guys, I got this secret recipe for the best potato in the universe, stop whatever you are planting now, and start planting this potato and I will pay you for your service."

Your farmer friends will definitely agree because this is big business and there are multiple benefits.

1. They don't have to find a buyer, they just produce.
2. They get to produce the best potato in the universe.
3. They get to earn money without marketing effort.
4. They already have the tools to do the job
5. See no. 2

So, once they agree, your job is to make sure the farmer gang delivers the potato on time to the village chief so the 1000 people won't die from hunger. You don't even need to plant the potato yourself.
