Lot of people in this forum dont understand how US works! They cause a correction others follow, they are first to exit and and first to enter. That is why US retail investors are the most wealthy in the world, as the effectively have inside information, as rests follow like lambs to slaughter. Case in point, Ali Baba US bankers wrote negative thigs abut Al Baba, the price collapsed from 400 + to 70 recently. Then suddenly JP Morgan who had previously said Ali Baba was uninvestible and high risk sent a note to confirm it is a strong buy! Price recovered nicely ....will continue to do. Many folks made 200% plus in a short time mostly in US. Lesson to to be learnt! Don't follow US blindly on negative news!

Plenty of bad news is already in the price. US i think will surprise us and it will find a way or reason to have equity rally. Not least US has the biggest retail investors in the world and can print money nilly willy. The wall of investible money from retail investors, pension and Life insurance funds has to have a home, so when there is a major correction, a rally is not too far away! Malaysian market which has has been hit hard over a longer period that US is due for a strong comeback. Unfortunately, the political instability is one of the main reasons. That said I see CIMB is undervalued even now!

Another concern is how contracts are written and whether they cover increase in materials cost. Most well written contracts for long term project would have the ability to cover increase in material costs, particularly when they are due to unseen event such as wars etc. So without having access to contracts one cannot state with confidence that Gamuda will loose out in such circumstances. Regular income from Highway concession v selling the interest is open to diverging views. Many think it is for the better, argument being fees could not be increased and therefore inflation would eat away. Combined with opportunity to realise a gain and reinvest including returning some to shareholders is not a bad thing, particularly as Gamuda is winning many contracts particularly offshore which proves it can compete and is not subject to favors! This to proves it is capable of covering the lost revenue from new contracts it wins and is in strong position to win significant contracts at home when govt decides to spend post election! I conclude it is under valued. When price drops post special dividend it may be time to add more shares from the dividend payout.

Can any one in this forum particularly the experts who celebrate every time Genting price goes down, explain the huge disparity in performance between Genting ADR quoted in US in OTC and Genting B in Malaysia? The difference is huge, ADR one is up circa 90%? I am have my own views but like to hear from the bear experts!
