Now. I have another expected for 2 Qtr 2016, 300 to 350 mil, this was also a record profit for the past 10 years 2 Qtr result....

Whole year core profit 2016 , roughly around 1350 to 1600 mil.

Minimum EPS is 0.48 sents, conservative TA times 6X will be RM2.88.

AirAsia said its Malaysian operations posted a load factor of 85% in 1QFY16, up 10% y-o-y.

For Thai AirAsia Co Ltd, the group said the 45%-owned associate recorded a load factor of 88% in 1Q16, up five percentage points from a year ago.

As for AirAsia's 48.9%-owned PT Indonesia AirAsia (IAA), load factor increased to 79% in 1QFY16, up nine percentage points from a year ago.

AirAsiaPhilippines, which is 39.9% owned by AirAsia, reported a load factor of 87% in 1QFY16, up 10 percentage points from a year ago.

Meanwhile, AirAsia (India) Pvt Ltd posted load factor of 86% in 1QFY16, up six percentage points from a year ago.

AirAsia Bhd said its load factor for the first quarter ended March 31 (1QFY16) rose by nine percentage points to 86% from 77% a year ago.
In a statement today, the low-cost carrier said the number of passengers carried increased by 17% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 13.94 million from 11.88 million.

Overall up 9% among Airasia group load factor with ASK & RPK also positive / Low Jet fuel price, i can estimate AAB profit will around RM350 to 400 mil, covert to EPS = RM12.5 cents, which is 233% higher from 1Q 15 result......

One more month will announce 1Q16 result, what do you expect AAB result?

For my own feeling, if AAB can earn more than 417 mil in 1Q convert to EPS 0.15 cents, the one year target of 0.37 can meet easily.

if estimated 1Q16 417 mil profit can meet, AAB reasonable price will be more than RM2.96 (8XEPS)

My guess is TF swift AAB & to buy AAX, look at recent AAX price up lot, of course AAX have more room to up compare AAB.
TF have bought AAX share of 13.5 mill share recently. This few days up also because of their acquisition.

The market trend look like to absorb =< RM2.10, no intention to buy further.

The recent oil price mainly due to weaker US currency, more US fund exit dollar look for opportunity. Therefore all asian currency up, stock up, of course oil also up. Becareful the oil supply is still a critical part & yet to settle.

I don't think Oil will sustain long above USD40, will go back below 40 within this month.

The crude Oil price war will be a long journey, the price sill continue challenge to record low price, maybe below USD25 in this year again. invest in Aviation sector like AAB is a good strategy to hold for medium term 2 to 3 years till Year 2018.

Yes, this is not the 1st time AAB doing PP. The last PP was completed on July 2009, but the price did drop from 1.48 to RM1.00 after the PP, then only surge up towards almost RM4.

if follow historical data, Bet your luck & sell on monday morning, & "beg" the AAB will drop to RM1.40 or lower, then u can buy back more share......
