Wah salted fish comes back to life. As for those naysayers, you know who you are, your negative words and gloomy predictions have no effect on the good future this company has.

Sslee, I don’t understand what do you mean doing the same thing and expecting different result. They’re running a business. Of course they need to stimulate the market to boost revenue. SQ also sells their tickets way ahead. So is every other airlines. Takkan you want them to sit still and look pretty and hope for the best?? You really don’t understand how an airlines is run. You’re only good at reading reports. But things can turn around just like that.

Incredible. Where are you and your brilliant prediction @Good123 and @Sslee?

An PN17 company with positive trend for the past few month. What more can you ask? Good for SIA but can you afford to buy their shares?

Really? Comparing SQ (Temasek) to AAX? MH is not even listed.

Sslee, don’t act like you’re advocating for those affected pax on AA’s flight. You’re only hoping that AA will be severely dealt with by MOT.

Kindly ignore Good123. He’s probably just a small banker or accountant.

Actually, many haters just cannot stand to watch things will turn around for AA. They just want them to go bust and get delisted. And then they will say, “see, I’ve told you so!”

Not according to some people. They only want MH to monopolise Malaysian market and watch AA die. Little did they know MH survives on their hard earn taxes money.

Revenue jumps 6 folds too. Don’t discount that. But the price trend is going up, despite all the negative picture that you have painted. Maybe you’re just an accountant??!!

Myairline have 5/6 planes only. AA got 200 planes. Quarterly loss is due to many grounded planes being unable to be rolled into service in time and the lease payment continues despite not flying. Myailrine RM48 sounds affordable but how sure you are that it’s not hurting their profit? Does every pax pay 48 only? Or just the lucky few? Can they cover the cost? Do they have the frequency and convenience like AA do? Moreover, AA got AAX to provide feeder service from Aus/NZ/Japan/Korea and soon China. And AAX is making money right now. Myairline is on their own trying to capture the market. They may succeed but won’t take a big chunk out of it. You need to look at the big picture.

Sure you can invest in SQ. Provided you have lotsa capital and money. You can even invest in American Airlines. Or Tesla.

Many additional planes were returned due to lease contract expiry and then renegotiated to take advantage of new lower lease rate. It’s fairly normal. This way, they save cost and has the flexibility of adding or reducing more planes if necessary depending on market condition.

Ultimatekkg, easier said than done for myairline to kill AA overnight. Not even Malindo was able to in 2015. Eventually, they bungkus after covid and became Batik Air, sharing the parent’s name from Indonesia. There’s a report from Maybank regarding Capital A and Myairline, also available on The Edge page. Go read and understand. At least their views are more reliable and professional.

Because AAX is now a clean company after the restructuring that saw 99% of its debts cancelled.

I don’t understand the logic that less income won’t make the merger happen. Merger doesn’t cost one single penny. But the benefit is huge. Think about the synergy, cost cutting and sharing, streamlining and so on.

Really? Don’t end up eating your own words one year from now. It’s not over until it’s over. Don’t forget foreign bank is an option if local bank walks away.

High debt and high cost = literally every company in the world. Maybe your father’s company is lean and profitable. I don’t know.

So half a million seat sold in just two days? Can’t help but to laugh at those who commented air travel is dead, China is still closed, inflation, covid, monkey pox, PN17 etc. Some said the boss has connection kiri kanan. Damn right. Soon they’ll get out of PN17 just like that.

China, HK, TPE and Japan are still closed for tourist. These places are the last to open and they are some of the most populous places on earth. That explains the stark difference pre and post covid passenger numbers. Once these places open up, the figure will jump dramatically as many will transit through KL and travel to other regional and domestic destinations. Expect Japan to be fully open by September.
As for monkey pox emergency (disputable decision) and the endless omicron waves, people are generally covid fatigue and don’t wanna talk about it anymore. Unless you have ill intention to create scaremongering.

Q1 2022 (Jan-Mar) where got open border? Many kena covid too. Not even SQ can achieve pre covid level. If you really want to make a meaningful comparison with past figure, start from 2nd quarter.

Good sign at klia2 today. Very crowded for the long weekend. Totally underestimated the travel rebound. From children to senior, local to mat salleh, it seems that everyone is going somewhere. What you read online about hater’s comments, refund issue, delay, PN17 and even inflation don’t stop people from flying airasia. Soon, people will forget all these and continue planning for their next holiday.

But immigration is full everyday til halau people. I wonder why people renew their passport for if they have no intention to travel. Those affected by inflation were never frequent flyer even before covid, let alone after. It’s always the middle-class and T20 who fly.

Many have starred travelling lo, at least domestically. For international, once the entry requirement for pcr and other nonsense are removed, hopefully in a month’s time or two, more people will travel. Btw, don’t mean to be rude, I guess not everyone can afford to travel post covid. So it’s a matter of affordability rather than safety.

Nicholas 99 You think you know but you don’t. It’s not like owning an expensive car. No airlines in the world owns 100% of its fleet. Not even the wealthy SQ. It’s normal for airlines to lease and return plan, adjust fleet size based on market demand. The outlook of the company is based mainly on sustainability and innovation.

Dear Ultimatekkg, maybe you’re let down by AA in the past and hence your revengeful comments. It’s time to move on. Time will tell whether they’ll survive or not. Remember, our gov certainly doesn’t wanna see them fail.

Boring la Sslee. No one’s gonna care about your debt and PN17 story anymore. I’m not denying it, but it’s just a matter of time before they come out of it. This is your last ditch effort to screw this company verbally before they emerge from covid so work harder. Don’t give up.
