新年伊始，一场突如其来的新冠病毒疫情，彻底打乱了人们工作、生活、沟通交流的方式，全国人民举国同心、众志成城，通过各种方式投入到战“疫”当中，获得了巨大的成效。而在这场战“疫”行动中，远程办公模式成为响应国家防控号召、保护员工健康、保证企业复工复产的重要方式，成为疫情期间的一种“新常态”。

众所周知，远程办公解决方案离不开IT基础架构的支撑，由于此次疫情下 90%以上的企业开启了全员在家办公模式，且超过60%的远程办公用户为新用户，大量且集中的远程应用和数据访问带来了高并发需求，而大部分企业的IT基础架构并未做好远程访问的准备，这使得无论是支撑钉钉、Zoom，还是支撑企业内部办公软件的IT基础架构带来了严峻的挑战，数据存储空间不足、应用程序响应时间变慢、视频会议连接卡顿、系统无法远程登陆等等事故频发，严重影响了办公的效率。

面对挑战，企业必须对IT基础架构进行升级改造，构建更加灵活、敏捷和高可用、高安全的架构，能够根据并发用户数量增加，实时、按需弹性扩展，以提高远程响应时间，保证用户的使用体验，确保办公效率。

据了解，由于远程办公在疫情期间有了巨大幅度的增长，所以各家企业对数据中心进行了扩容，以解决高并发数据流量和数据存储的挑战。例如钉钉通过阿里云连续扩容十几万台云服务器，腾讯会议连续8天扩容超过10万台云主机，这也直接导致了存储产品需求的提升。

此外，今年3月份国家发布大力发展“新基建”的举措，让新兴产业的建设不断提速。加之，远程办公带来的在线业务猛增，数据爆涨，使得服务器、存储等受到了不小的压力，这也使得企业对于服务器和存储产品需求量的大幅增长。

可以说，在疫情推动下，存储需求量将持续增长，存储市场长期被看好。

在企业IT基础架构的升级改造过程中，如何根据不同的办公应用需求，选择适合的存储产品，提高效率并降低IT的整体成本，也至关重要。

我们知道，根据存储介质的不同，目前主流的存储产品主要有SSD(固态硬盘)和HDD(机械硬盘)两种。SSD在读写速度、响应时间方面有着巨大的优势，但存储容量较低，且价格较高，比较适合部署应用程序，以提高远程访问的速度；HDD虽然读写速度和响应时间不如SSD，但存储容量更高，价格更低，更适合存储海量数据。

如果企业将各种应用程序部署到数据中心中，并通过虚拟桌面的方式提供给员工使用，那么建议选择SSD产品，以保证在高并发的情况下提供更高的性能，降低延迟。如果企业员工在使用虚拟桌面或远程办公软件时，仅仅是为了数据共享、数据存储等，那么选择HDD即可满足您的需求，且拥有更高的容量和更低的成本。

当然，企业在改造升级IT基础架构时，可以根据不同的需求选择不同的存储产品，搭建混合存储架构，以不同的产品满足不同业务的需求，这样也有助于在提高远程办公效率的同时降低成本，提升员工工作体验。

总结：疫情之下，在职场人士和企业机构快速地融入到远程办公的新常态中，如何提高工作效率，及时地访问企业数据，互相协同，已经成为企业关注重点。面对新办公模式的转变，大部分企业IT基础架构并未充分准备好，改造升级势在必行。当然，在升级改造的过程中，HDD存储产品，即满足了数据密集型工作负载和应用中关键数据的访问，又提供了高密度的存储容量，以丰富的产品选择和更低的成本，为数据中心升级改造赋能，为企业远程办公赋能。

Urban migration is a global phenomenon, not just in Malaysia or by Malays. Studies indicate that the 10 most populous cities in the world by 2050 will be found in Asia, Africa and Latin America, consigning the top cities of today down the populous scale. Europe, the U.S. and Japan urbanization was done earlier while the third worlds are playing catch-up. There will be bound to be urban poor and shanty towns. Rural living is good but you won't make much money there unless you are rich farmers, which is not done in Malaysia, yet, perhaps never will be. Singapore and later, China, have done a good job to make their cities look good. Singapore is a pioneer in this - China is copying from them. They even have a Raffle city on Chungqing.

Malaysian government should look at the bigger picture - need based rather than race based to develop the nation. The old method of the seventies need to change otherwise we would be stuck there and unable to move on with Korea, Taiwan or Indonesia.

Government should take practical measures to deter rural people from drifting to the city to look for better future which often looks illusory. To stop the exodus, government should take steps to develop the rural areas and change its old and drably outlook into something bright and lively, with a taste of mini city life.
To start to roll out the initial phase of the development, government has to integrate the plots of lands adjacent to each other in the area, into a single entity and convert them into a vast commercial farms planted with fruits and vegetables and also set up farms specially for rearing chicken and goats. It will offer employment opportunities for able bodied rural folks to work in he farms, hence increase their incomes.
All the old and dilapidated houses standing in the area have to be demolished and have to be rebuilt.
The new houses, modern compound hoses, complete with modern amenities and electricity, have to be built in orderly rows, to be located in the strategic central area, complete with shop houses, market, library and kindergarten and other amenities, to allow the people to have a taste of mini town life.
If this suggestion could be successfully implemented, the incomes of the rural folks could possibly increase by leaps and bounds to enable them to improve their social status. In this regard, they will find more comfort and happiness to stay in the kampungs to raise their families.
This will be the best solution to deter rural folks from migrating to the city and ending in looking at the mirage.
