Better buy before karim and gang buy back.. No doubt there will be some volatility.. But if he thinks there is no wrongdoings within the company , he should buy back to boost the confidence off all parties..

At 20c, probably a new school of retailers would play.. Like sapura.. If ever the company is still operating...

If things don't settle fast, prepare for worse case.. Petronas might suspend its VDP with serba

Better to cutloss and re enter when it stabilise.. Everything is in limbo and uncertainties remain the main picture for now. You are not sure when things will settle down.

Never buy a stock if the confidence lvl is low

Even the bond price is trading in distressed level..

Karim and gangs are not that dumb to go all in at this level to let those who just bought recently to get away rich.. Already 4th day, and they only spent so little to buy to support.. No share buyback from company and so on.

Dfa sold, though Blackrock added some.. The rest of the buying should be mainly retailers..

So, that explained why epf did not sell because they don't have the stocks to sell? They need to call back from the borrowers in order to sell?

i3lurker under BURSA regulations you need to disclose those buy and sell transactions also if done by you even though nett is zero, no difference

most likely short sellers borrowed those shares from IB, you can check on Bursa website whether got any or not.

Fitch downgrades Serba Dinamik to 'B-', places it on Rating Watch Negative

The ratings have been placed on Rating Watch Negative (RWN), Fitch said in a statement. The downgrade reflects the pressure on Serba Dinamik's liquidity and the elevated refinancing risk from its short-term debt maturities in 2021 and its US$222 million sukuk due May 2022, Fitch said

Which could further dampen the sentiment..

The next possible scenario could be they admit wrongdoing and oversight...kwap is slowly leaving them.. Epf might hv other commitments, epf always scoop up distressed share frm open.. They hv been quiet.. (probably due to the next upcoming i-lestari as well, trying to conserve some reserve)

Sell when u can.. Company has no cash to buy back..

If do private placement, will definitely be deep discount than current level to attract investors.. . With this kinda uncertainties, Big Institutions would demand a deep discount..

They are definitely not able to issue more debts, current debt are trading at distressed level.. 58 over par.. Maturity due 1 year later with outstanding of Usd 300mil.. Where to get funds to repay in 11mth times? Banks? Rights issue?

Many probably would have forgotten what happened to kheesan last year.. Huge receivables with no real cash balance..ended up delisted after a chain of negative issues surfaced. Well, serbadk is a different company, but who knows?

That explain why the company did not do share buy back despite 2 limit down.. Zzz..

Despite their brand name and so called huge contracts secured over the years, they should have no issue in securing short term borrowing(worst case scenario) from the banks for money to do share buy back..

Too bad, no news of company share buyback other than the owner who spent 4.42mil to buy back a portion of share from open market to 'calm' the situation..

From wsj, Steve burns did not really refute the reports. So, there are a lot of uncertainties lingering around. Hopefully, CEO Tan could clarify further on this matter. In the meantime, let mkt decides the fv then.

-----------

(Wall Street Journal) -- A new report by short seller Hindenburg Research took aim at electric-truck startup Lordstown Motors Corp., saying the company misled investors about the strength of its truck preorders and the progress it is making toward putting its first model into production.

Lordstown Motors Chief Executive Steve Burns said the report contained half-truths and lies, and that the short seller has a motivation to hurt the stock before the company reports its first quarterly update as a publicly traded entity next week.

The Wall Street Journal hasn't been able to verify independently the accusations.

The startup is named for the Ohio town where the company purchased a dormant former General Motors Co. plant in 2019. GM acquired a small stake in the electric-vehicle startup. A GM spokesman declined to comment.

Shares of the company fell 16.5% Friday following the report. Hindenburg -- which last year targeted another electric-truck startup, Nikola Corp. -- disclosed that it holds a short position in Lordstown Motors, meaning it stands to profit from declines in the stock.

The New York-based research firm, led by Nathan Anderson, described Lordstown Motors' order book as a "mirage" and said the startup paid an outside consulting group to generate preorders for its truck in advance of a deal to go public in 2020. The report cited documents and conversations that the firm said it had with former employees and business partners.

Mr. Burns confirmed the company paid consultants to generate preorders that were understood to be nonbinding as a way to assess market demand, but denied it misrepresented its preorder book.

"We are not stating these are orders and have never stated that," he said.

Lordstown Motors listed last year through a deal with special-purpose acquisition company, or SPAC. The company has yet to sell a vehicle. It is targeting the commercial-truck market, vehicles typically used by fleet operators.

Lordstown Motors and Mr. Burns have regularly pointed to its preorder book to underscore the strength of demand for its forthcoming commercial pickup truck. "Most of them are signed by the CEOs of these large firms," Mr. Burns said of the preorders in a CNBC interview in November. "They're very serious orders."

In a regulatory disclosure in December, Lordstown Motors said it didn't have any current customers or pending orders, and there was no assurance the nonbinding preorders would be converted to sales. In January, the company said the more than 100,000 reservations for its Endurance truck were nonbinding.

Hindenburg said the orders weren't only nonbinding but also "largely fictitious" and didn't represent "genuine demand." Some preorders for 1,000 or more trucks came from businesses that didn't operate commercial fleets, the report said. Some companies told the firm they didn't have the means or intention to buy the trucks on preorder, the report said.

Mr. Burns said the company is confident there is demand for its trucks and the preorders were a way to gauge interest as it preps the factory to build for certain volumes.

Sizeable order replenishment. We highlight that, as at 4th February 2021, Greatech’s orderbook stood at RM351.2m, from RM266.9m in 3QFY20. Based on our rough estimation, Greatech has clinched additional orders with value up to c.RM150m during the quarter, which we reckon was mainly contributed by Lordstown and First Solar. Lordstown has announced that it received a total of 100k pre-order units for its Endurance model in January, and having an additional battery pack assembly line was necessary, as we reckon that one single line was not sufficient to cater for this overwhelming amount of order.

Above is from public's research, I believe they should re consider their rating catalyst to this Co.

Although greatec derived most of its earning from local ate segment, I think for the sake of earning visibility in the eV sector remained a question..

Anyway, good luck... Valuation is too rich and I better sell all..

Lordstown dropped 20% and closed 16% lower yesterday.

I am curious now, so , is greatec's orders secured from Lordstown motors was just a number?

So far the company has issued any progress updates on its orders on that orders.

Monday will drop very badly?

Not sure if I see correctly or not, please correct me

Being the distributor of PPE, the P/E should trade above or near with those Pharmaceutical companies. Like Apex, Kotra, caring(delisted), which works out to be around 20x on average.

So, potentially more upside? Current P/E is only 9.9x

Not only that, the 33mil plus contract for ppe supplies already well secured..

Just saw this when I browsed through the financial reports.

This was mentioned in the q4 2019 financial report,

"The healthcare segment improved in the quarter with higher shipments to public healthcare and
improved sales to private hospitals from added range of new products. It is to be noted that the
impact of higher annual budget of the Ministry of Health has yet to be felt this quarter."

The last report was up to 29feb 2020. From thereon, the cases of covid-19 experienced a sudden surge to the extent that the hospitals ran out of PPE.

So, combining both revenue from last qrt and this qtr.. Are we getting a much higher revenue and profit?

Sun health & my care distribution list include isolation gowns, surgical gloves, n95 face masks, etc.

Source: https://www.sunhealthcare.com.my/products.php?cat=8

Hopefully, to be able to collect cheaply with the weakness in current price.

Just some info, Isolation gown is priced @ RM28 to RM88, depend on quality..

Yes, later when the share price is up, investors confidence return, through the agm they announce pay hike for these executives in order to compensate the 'loss of income' happened when its share price plunged due to gaming tax imposed by ph..

But why the effect of covid-19 is more severe, why he hasn't make announcement yet to cut pay to reduce the expenses..

Stock

2020-04-12 02:11 | Report Abuse

Why there are still so many ppl looking at this counter(here and KLSE screener) with a 'false' hope it would rebound due to high dividend using historical payout?

The management is not transparent enough on its outlook. Not only that, even the purchase of empire resorts through related party transactions (Lim's took profit at the expense of genm's shareholder)- now delisted.

After assuming loss making empire resorts, which is loss making, what is the next step? Impairment due to bleak outlook? Deep losses? Again, s/holders to bear.

Lastly, Covid-19's effect.. No visitors, no high rollers business, these probably will drag on for the remaining mths in 2020.

With all the negativities, how to pay high dividend to pay?? .. Loss of revenues, but has to service short terms obligations/debts as well.

Not steady enough, just issue the prospect of the company like AirAsia to at least better manage the expectations. (not a buy call for AAGB)
