Sorry for the mistake. The post was supposed to be for other glove sectors. HLT did not get margin call but it was because all the other investors saw glove prices going down so they panic sell all of them haha

Counter capping means putting a cap on the market value of a stock for the purpose of valuing the stock concern for a loan/margin financing purposes.

For example, lately there is a RM5.00 cap on Supermx whereas today’s market value is RM7.61. If you pledge 1K shares of Supermx to the capper for margin financing, the value given is 1K x 5.00 = RM5,000 but when you compare to market value is 1K x 7.61 = RM7,610. The amount of loan you can get is RM5K only.
