The closest competitor of Tekseng is OCNCASH in producing non-woven fabric but OCNCASH management has already clarified during a June interview with Affin that their non-woven fabric is not use for face mask. With the release of the latest report, Tekseng also has better EPS comparing to OCNCASH so Tekseng remained the better choice out of the two.

Tekseng is already operating at full capacity and is fully booked until August. It has used RM20m for capital expenditure to expand the production capacity. This expansion will start operating at Q3 which is the coming quarter. As for the lower revenue compare to last quarter, it has been mentioned in the news that Q2 will have 70% of the revenue coming from pp non-woven while Q1 only make up 30% of it. Tekseng catagorise their PP non-woven under the PVC category but PVC is actually a different product from PP non-woven. It basically means there is a drop of revenue from PVC and a raise in PP NON-Woven and PP Non-Woven generated more net profit as it has higher net profit margin which can be seen in the latest report with high net profit. So a simple calculation of double capacity in the coming quarter means Tekseng will most probably post a 50-100% profit increment.

This is the write up I am referring to. Dont be mislead by others and dive Into the wrong sectors. OCNCASH is a good company but they are not doing non woven face mask. The only listed company who is doing non woven fabric for the face mask now is TEKSENG. Non woven fabric is an essential part of 3 ply mask (middle layer) which our health DG has just informed that the only mask we should wear is 3 ply mask.

They are the closest peer competitor of TEKSENG in non woven in terms of hygienic products except face mask. Affin Hwang has confirmed this with the management of OCNCASH and its written clearly in the detail write up of the company.

Through the acquisition of FMU5, PWORTH is able to harvest and replant the whole 88,920 hectare forest which will improve the group’s financial status.
By eliminating any unforeseen circumstances, FMU5 is expected bring in more than sufficient supply of log, which will improve PWORTH capacity utilisation and mechanical efficiency to be able to fulfil local and foreign demand. Besides that, the group can also reduce the cost of log harvesting, to achieve economies of scale and better profit will follow suit.
Due to constant undersupply of tropical log, the recent past few years’ demand has been on the rise. PWORTH often receive customers’ enquiry for more log product. However, the group is unable to produce sufficient supply to meet all the requests. Once FMU5 bring in more supply of log, PWORTH expects to meet all these requests.
In other words, acquiring FMU5 will solidify PWORTH position as Sabah’s leading integrated timber company including both upstream and downstream.

For the past 5 years, PWORTH can produce favourable operating cash flow. Due to low financial level coupling with the fact that PWORTH has to invest a lot of capital expenditure, PWORTH never had any dividend.
The capital expenditure is mainly used for upgrading machinery in factory, planting research and development, etc. According to management, other than the RM260m for FMU5, PWORTH won’t be investing heavy capital expenditure, because the group already has good factory and equipment. The only expense would be the moving or reinstalling fee.
Once FMU5 is fully put in operation, PWORTH is expected to have significant improvement.

PWORTH is one of Malaysia’s longest running timber company, one of the all rounded timber focused operator which is not many in Malaysia. PWORTH’s log is recognized by Forest Stewardship Council/FSC and Sabah Forest Department/SFD). FSC is international non-profit environmental protection group, besides promoting forest conservation, it also provide recognition for timber products. FSC has very strict recognition standard, it requires not only the source comes from trees but also the processing to meet certain criteria.

Read the article properly, the export ban was imposed to ensure sufficient supply of material for local factories. This simply means that the demand for timber is too high and supply is too low so they need to re-evaluate whether they should keep selling to foreign country or sell locally. Basically telling you guys the demand > supply, thus the business future prospect is looking very bright. Export ban or no ban, doesn't matter to pworth because their timber is still being bought by someone just locally instead of by foreigner.

Basically, there will be a few scenarios likely to happen.
First, if you accept the offer then just signed the accetance letter and send it back for 3.18.
Second, if you ignore the offer and held on to the oldtown shares, then there are two scenarios likely going to happen. If Jacob managed to get 90% of oldtown then you will be forced to sell your oldtown share to them at 3.18 as well. If Jacob did not managed to get 90% (75%-80%). Then Jacob can either revised their offer higher than 3.18 hoping the remaining shareholders will sell them or they can absorb enough stock from open market by either pressing the price and slowly absorb or purchasing the remaining % at higher price than 3.18 and push up the prices.

Selling Oldtown now is a bad decision. Jacob is more than happy to absorb all your stocks at below 3.18 in the market now. They have the power to suppress the Oldtown price thus making impatient investors to let go of their stock and absorb it. If the deal of Jacob is called off, it's even better because Oldtown is easily RM4 in one year time with their rapid growth in China. Suppressing the market and making it side way for the past 6 months is most probably Jacob's doing as well.

Dont even need to rush sell. Coming quarter report is confirmed to be better than last year and the p/e ratio will be drag down. 3.18 is not the fair value of oldtown, we will see what happens once the coming quarter report shows an even better result than all previous one.
