maybe you should ask someone else, because I bought a lot and is still buying
i think the result was OK and acceptable although not as good as FY2016 (compared to FY15, the results was good)
excluding forex and derivative losses, the company is growing. so if the management could better control the costs, you MAY see better than expected results in the coming quarters (need some confidence in the management team)
3Q earnings already at 100m. it should be safe to assume this year could gain EPS 200 - 233 cents (4Q earnings 20m (very pessimistic assumption) - 40m)
in FY2015, it earned 100M, EPS 167 cents, at that time trading around MYR 25, PE ~15. So, the fair value should be something between MYR 30 - 35
BUT there should be more upside given the possibility of cost control, stability in the middle east due to higher oil price, and the coming dividend.
dividend could be higher than FY2015 and FY2016. payout for the last two years was almost the same because 60m was used for expansion in FY2016

しかし、I am still buying for the coming dividend ^_^
5% is better than negative rate in japan

ongkkh san, Yes, I bought some. This is a very good and stable company. It has one of the highest and most stable profit margin around 25%, even when commodity price was at all time low. Management was prudent, company-centric and employee-centric. Everything is perfect but there is not visible growth
Panamy has the same good points and most importantly, management is aggressive. You can see their vision and possible earning growth in the near future. I found that Batu Kawan and CBIP have the similar traits (笑)

皆さん、お早う ^_^ 久しぶり、お元気ですか?
I hope you people have collected enough for the next upleg (笑)
Aberdeen & Mitsubishi UFG has been reducing their stakes gradually because they are following fund outflows from emerging markets caused higher interest rates in the US. They have been doing this since 2015 and they are also actively reducing their stakes in another company (United Plantations). On the contrary, EPF increased their stakes during this period

おはよう、that was bad. most of my orders did not match yesterday ...
optimusさん、I don't know but the company uses some hedging tools.
margin will not be compressed because of competition, have you seen LV lowering their price to compete with china-made counterfeits? brand and quality is primary

matb san, I personally know the management (笑)
I can assure you that they work very hard to grow the company

こんにちわmatbさん、はい、そうです
you are right about aji and dlady, but panamy has the similar advantages
aji: depends on management. some management actively communicate their plans to shareholders. panamy's management is more on "action speaks louder than words"
dlady: to get 2200 dividend/year from dlady, you need 55.60. for the same amount of money, you can get 1.748 panamy and get dividend 2430. panamy should be around 35 if you were to get only 2200 dividend (same as dlady) (笑)

久しぶりねraintさ、this is a good time to buy, you can't find any other better timing
we are buying now (笑)
it makes less money last quarter because of one-off cost to shift production lines, nothing less
even IF IT MAKES ONLY 200 sen this year (should be easily achieved), the price should be 36 based on pe 18 (conservative, please check industrial average like aji and dutchlady)

nao, I know many overseas subsidiariy are more attractive than parents listed on Tokyo stock exchange

matb san, yoroshiku. sorry, not following aji. but you can consider panamy. production of new appliances developed in japan will be transferred to other subsidiairy because of high Japanese Yen. panamy could benefit from this. the price is till cheap

raint san, ongkkh san, hai, panasonic corporation in tokyo stock ex. sorry, i don't know about bonus. but subsidiariy is cheap than panasonic, divident higher. traditional business lookk better than advance tech

hai, en = Japanese yen
2016-09-22 16:13 | Report Abuse
yes, Japanese. nice to meet you. I am saying this subsidiariy is better than Panasonic. one Panasonic is about 1050 en, after conversion is around 43 ringit, can buy around 1.2 subsidiariy. dividident also better than Panasonic. I am switching from Panasonic to this subsidiariy because en is strong now
