What good will that bring in wanting and finding the root cause when the patient die immediately.

The English has been fighting French for thousands of years and so were all the so called countries in Europe fighting and killing each other for thousand and thousand of years (WWI and WWII). So what were the root cause then. Is it helping in peace building?
