Perhaps Goldman Sachs quickly agreed to a US$3.9 billion settlement with the PN government to save themselves from a bigger amount, should a new government be formed.
This money will ‘disappear’ after it is given to the PN government. It is sad that the people who caused the loss of 1MDB will be receiving this compensation.

The MCMC must explain what was the indecent content in the programme. I watched it more than once and it had nothing indecent in it. Who was harassed by the programme? Instead the journalist concerned was harassed and deported from the country. Why is action being taken after 5 years? So if the PH government remained in power, no action would be taken? The MCMC should stay above politics and stop protecting individual politicians. After 63 years of Independence, I find it shocking that the government must still control what we see, read, write and speak. So how are we better than other autocratic states in the world?

Both my children were lucky when maths and science were taught in English during Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s days as prime minister. One of my children is now an actuary and the other is a chemist in US.
Many of their classmates, Malays and non-Malays, are working as doctors, pharmacists, and chemists in the UK, Australia, Canada, and in Malaysia as well.
They have Mahathir to thank for the opportunity to study maths and science in English as they didn't have much difficulty doing their undergraduate courses in English.
Whatever the Malay-Muslim government wants to do with the education system is not my worry anymore. My future generation is finding better opportunity overseas.

China think wiping out their own people leads to growth? Plenty grew without wiping out its own citizens especially in the 20th century. Did work well for Germany.

HI guys
I would focus more on how a company would perform and its valuation in my analysis when trying to come up with a decision on an investment rather than putting too much time in understanding why a certain shareholder is buying or selling its shares. That being said, if the person that is selling or buying is a prominent investors, then maybe i would try to find out what he or her thesis on the investment might be.
In the case of Ageson, to understand why they are still superundervalue? A hidden GEM?
If you think that Ageson share price is still very low because they have a negative outlook on the sand industry for example, then you might need to take note that they are also currently doing quite good business on the other hand (excluded sand business)
Making your investment decisions on what investors buys or sell might not be the best strategy. If you were to sell a company just because other hoohaa investor is selling then you need to ask yourself are you also willing to buy the companies that other hoohaa investors is buying? Ageson for instance.....
What about other institutional investors like ijm, jaks, mudajaya, etc? Are you going to follow their transactions as well for your investment decision? This is why for an investors, you would be better off studying the underlying asset itself which is the company when making an investment decision. At the very least, you understand why you are buying or selling the company.
