At current CIL Nasdaq price, if Q1 23 investment value in associate compay is marked at market price, there will be a super huge investment profit in associate in Q1. The original investment cost is RM15m in 2018. Now worth about RM150m. Fantastic ROI of 10 times over 4 years. Very shrewd and astute management and corporate people inside the company. As they have paid dividend last year, this year could a much much bumper dividend payout.

CIL listed at Nasdaq yesterday and closed at USD4.42. That is 10.5% higher than IPO price of USD4.00. At this price Straits is sitting on an investment profit of at least RM150m. This floating profit is equivalent to 16sen per share. More than one time of
current price of 13sen. Very good value counter
