doesn't work that way. dividend received from BPLANT might not flow directly to LTAT as BSTEAD might have other plans for it. the whole abandoning of the SCR/Privatization shown that BSTEAD management aren't looking out for the best of LTAT interest despite TheEdge's puff piece or LTAT's face saving press release.

usually its the same old story, usually crafted around themes such as create value, spin off non core, sweat assets to perform, alight business functions, staying lean etc etc

Guys, I was at the AGM the other day and one of this guy asked Hadian a Q. if the asset is good, why would salamander trying to sell?

my thoughts:
1) This Thai asset has its inherent risk. subject to contract renewal risk (expires in 2025 and option to renew)
2) Hadian did mentioned that Salamander have tried drilling in the exploration field but he mentioned something about not being viable. (some of the senior investors that went to the AGM please correct me).

Another question raised was, which investment bank issued a sell note on the day SONA announced the HOA with Salamander? How would the investment banker knew about the asset? Is there an element of insider trading? if no such note was circulated and market took SONA up to 70c that day, would the climate in this thread be different?

regarding the financing part, one need to understand what currency does the company transact in. if their inventory are sold based in USD, it will offset it without currency risk, probably qtr mark to market might see some adjustment here and there but don't foresee any big problem.

Their 1Q 14 results should be out anytime (bursa listing requirement states not more than 2 months), from there we can also see the utilization of their funds in detail. Cause looking at their annual report, they hell didnt spend much money is valuing the QA in 2013. (Tax RM1.241m, Salary RM1.638 & Rental RM289k). Reservoir, Independent Reports & Consultant Fee etc all cost money and looking at CLIQ, you can see that its a sink hole exercise.
