During the height of the pandemic , the issue of force labor never arise..
the US wants more glove and their companies thanked top glove and other msia glove company especially the hard working bangla for being the "hero" working overtime in the pandemic fight..and ensuring the US and other countries have sufficient supply...
They work overtime to meet US & other countries demand.
Now the US have enough stock and vaccine , they now say these are forced labor ... ?! :)
Even bangladesh did not say their citizen being force to work...in fact they know in bangladesh there is too many ppl and not enough jobs , that is why they allow them to come to msia and other countries to work....
Many country due to pandemic , the unemployment rate is sky high / double digits...
The bangladesh workers are the real hero and have an opportunity to work and fight the pandemic..
they shld not be label as forced labour by the US..but heros for meeting their demand :)

Anyway, the US mkt is not as important now since in US they already start mass vaccination..and their demand will drop anyway.. they must already have sufficient stock to come out with the "force labor" nonsense .
If u read, they are targetting msian glove company and not just top glove..their real motif is unknown..america has been going after all their competitors..like huawei, smic, and tiktok and other china company.

The real demand for glove will be from those country which doesnt have as much vaccine supply or is slower than US..

This will include large part of asia , india , philiphine, indo, the whole africa continent , large part of europe.. south.america brazil, etc..where covid cases still rising..
There are other mkt which can absorb the supply and need a lot of gloves for at least the next 2 years...

I think the share price of rubber glove stocks are near bottom. Sellers seems exhausted even with recent alllegations and targetted attacked by US on msia rubber industry...
All the allegations on top glove doesnt deserve the share price to drop from $9.50 to $4.70....and pe around 3.7x earnings..
As the #1 glove company in the world, its worth a second look..
Company already working on the remediation since last yr and compensate its workers..
Its on right track, the share price also on right track to recovery...

Buy nice shirt for them, install aircond and resort style living for the workers... and forbid the bangla to live on their own style or wear sarong or sleep on the floor..
Fetch them with limo and give them work minimal hours ..
Encourage them to go back bangla for holiday or if they not happy...free to go

Matter will eventually be closed case...
Now they can invite US custom to visit their factory and the banglas.. to see the changes...

when top glove and other msian glove company are not making much money, prior to covid, nobody in US or Canada complain about force labour, but now msia glove company is making a lot of profit and can captured the US and canada market and is better than its US competitors, suddenly there are all sorts of video and allegations coming out..
so just like EU ban palm oil they say due to labor and environment issue, but their true motif is protecting their own industry which is vegetable and olive oil based...

the gov should fight for the msian companies-which help to boost the country economy in this covid period, and not for the US which does not provide them with any tax revenue...or anything good.

sadly today, only china dare to and can take action against US and Canada..
other country they are quite powerless..
