投资股票的第一个原则是：不了解就不买。勤做功课，是了解所买股票的不二法门。

但是，从本专栏读者的反应，以及参加我的股票投资讲座(免费)听众的回馈，投资者不是不想做功课，而是不知从何下手。

我决定以亿能：亿能（Arank，7214，主板工业产品股） 为例，引导大家一步一步的学习做功课。

我选亿能，主要是亿能虽然已上市5年，但大家对这家公司仍异常陌生。

我询问过几个投资者，竟然没有一个知道这家公司是做什么生意的。

那么，就让我们从“零”做起。

第1步

找资料。让我们进入马来西亚股票交易所的网站www.bursamalaysia.com。我们可以从这个免费网站找到亿能2005 年上市以来的年报、季报及所有的公司公告，以及该公司2005年4月20日上市时的招股说明书。你可以从这些文件找到该公司的最基本资料。

第2步

了解公司简史。该公司于1998年投入生产，年产量仅1万2000吨，以后不断扩大生产，目前年产量10万8000吨，为大马最大的铝坯生产商。

第3步

了解这家公司的董事部。

生意是人做的，公司的成败跟掌舵人的能力经验息息相关。

亿能有6名董事，最重要的人物是董事经理Tan Wan Lay，现年45岁，却已有20年的铝业经验。他在1986年学成后即投身铝业。进入廖兄弟铝业(LB Auminium Bhd.)，从基层做起，到1993年已升为高级生产经理；同年跳槽至另一家上市公司齐力金属(Press Metal)担任生产经理；1997年自立门户，出来创业，创立台湾鑫丰金属公司(Shyen Horng Metal Sdn. Bhd)，从事制造铝坯。鑫丰是亿能的最主要子公司。陈氏持有亿能36.47%股权。

第4步

了解公司的产品。

该公司只有一种产品铝坯(Aluminium Billets)。铝业分为三种，第一种将铝沙提炼成原铝；第二种将原铝熔炼为铝坯；第三种以铝坯制成铝品，如铝片、铝筋、铝管等。亿能所生产的铝坯，属第二种，介于原铝与铝品之间，其顾客就是铝品厂商。

投资者可以从该公司年报看到该公司所生产的铝坯，是直径3寸至10寸；长度可达6公尺的圆筒形实心铝坯。

第5步

既然有意成为该公司的股东，就应对该公司的工厂规模有一个印象。你可以从该公司年报的产业名单中找到该公司厂址，将此厂址输入谷歌地库 (Google Earth)中，就可以看到该公司设在雪州与森州交界处的马哥打工业区士毛月路的厂房鸟瞰图。

第6步

了解该公司产品市场何在。

该公司的产品中，55%供应本地市场，45%出口至澳洲、中国、欧洲、中东、南亚、非洲和东南亚。

第7步

了解该公司的财报。

必须详阅该公司年报中的损益表(又叫营收表Income Statements)和资产负债表(Balance Sheet)。从损益表可以看出该公司至2009年7月的财务年，营业量为3亿4100万令吉，比2008年的4亿7833万令吉，下降近30%，公司亏蚀824万令吉；上一年则净赚892万令吉。2009年每股亏蚀10.30仙；上一年则赚11.15仙。2009年是该公司上市以来首次亏蚀，原因是受金融海啸的打击。

从资产负债表可以知道该公司的实收资本为4000万令吉，分为每股50仙的股票8000万股。每股净有形资产价值为64 仙。

资产负债表显示该公司至去年7月财务年结束时欠银行4760万令吉，但全部是由“流动负债”。账目的附注显示，其中3697万令吉是银行承兑 (Banker’s Acceptances)；另外1063万令吉是外币贷款，这两笔债务都是用作生意周转金，在收到账款后就可以还清，所以不足为虑。该公司没有长期债务，而现金流量高，故基本上财务稳健。

第8步

找出该公司过去5年财政年业绩纪录

从上述资料可以看出，该公司自2005年上市以来的5年中，其中 4年取得不错的盈利，只有去年由于金融海啸的影响，亏蚀824万令吉，亏蚀的最大原因，是金融海啸发生后，所囤存之原料价格大跌。根据会计原则，账目必须准确反映结账时的价值。该公司勾销1620万令吉的原料价值。此事发生在上一个财务年的第二季，但在勾销1620万令吉之后，该公司去年只亏824万令吉，显示最后两季取得盈利，故全年亏蚀远比勾销和数额为低。

由此可见，去年的亏蚀属一次过性质，除非金融海啸再来，否则不会再出现。

实际上，该公司本财务年(至2010年7月)首季净赚233万令吉；次季净赚221万令吉，两季已净赚454万令吉，或每股5.67仙。如果到今年 7月下半年，能保持上半年的成绩的话，则全年每股净利可望达到11.34仙，以目前45仙股价计算，本益比为4。

该公司过去5年中，有4年每年派发3.5仙的免税股息。去年亏蚀824万令吉，但仍派发2仙的免税股息。

由于该公司的盈利现已恢复正常，预料本财务年有希望恢复派息 3.5仙。以45仙的股价计算，预期周息率为7.8%。

第9步

贴身跟踪行业景气及公司的发展。

作为一家铝业公司，该公司的盈利多数与铝价并驾齐驱。所以，如果你投资于亿能，你必须注意铝价的变化。

你可以通过谷歌(Google)进入伦敦金属交易所(London Metal Exchange)，在铝(Aluminium)项目下找到过去10年的原铝价格图表(Price Graphs)，对原铝(Primary Aluminium)的10年价格波动，一目了然。从图表可以看出原铝从2008年中每公吨3000多美元的高峰，跌到2008年尾时的1000多美元，由那时起，铝价开始攀升，目前已升至2500美元左右，从期货可以看出涨势还在持续中。

铝料和铝品价格的上升，对此行业的公司有利，本财务年下半年，该公司的业务和盈利可望保持平稳。

除了行业景气外，投资者也要细读该公司的季报和发表的文告。利用这些资料，评估该公司的进展，然后作出相应的投资决定。

第10步

投资策略。

就好像我们参股于私人有限公司那样。投资者在买进上市公司的股份时，一定要进行长期投资。

我们无法预测股价的变化，如果股价不起，投资者就没有收入了。但是，如果公司派发合理的股息的话，则股价不起，投资者还是可以得到比银行定期存款更高的收入，这样才可以守下去。所以，我一向的主张是作为长期投资的股票，最好有比银行定期存款高一倍的股息。亿能符合这个条件。

该公司至30-04-2014止欠银行5207万令吉，但全部是由“流动负债”。账目的附注显示，
其中2403万令吉是银行承兑 (Banker’s Acceptances)；另外2607万令吉是外币贷款，
这两笔债务都是用作生意周转金，在收到账款后就可以还清，所以不足为虑。
长期债务179万，而现金有476万，故基本上财务稳健。
