For big companies, it will have mixtures or experience, from juniors to seniors, manager to senior manager, and then partner.

There’s no such thing as junior whistle blowing to INED or SC. These things wouldn’t happen without approval of audit partner.

So far everyday all of us only hear from SD. All story also from SD. KPMG have not even given 1 single version of what happened except to say that they will challenge the law suit.

institutional investor dispose is reasonable. Their mandate is always to take less risky investments since it is citizen’s retirement funds..right now higher risk since audit issues flagged..whether the issues eventually solved or not, that’s another story..

Not every Tom dick and Harry can simply approach the bod :) requires manager and partner level to present findings to independent directors..inside the bod there’s an audit committee made up of independent directors..if audit matters not presented to audit committee, then what’s the point of audit committee??

auditor have the right to talk during general meeting of the company..if everyone so curious about kpmg’s replies, gather your shareholding and request for egm to summon KPMG to explain..

After all, shareholders are the ones who approved the appointment of auditors and auditors are ultimately responsible towards ALL shareholders, not just management.

You only hear from SD. Nobody hear from auditor yet. SD say reply already, maybe they give same reply 10 times previously before auditor go to BOD.

You all don’t know head or tail and the circumstances..I not say SD confirm do wrong, but auditor is there to protect all shareholders not only major shareholder..

If auditor don’t highlight doubts and discrepancies then how we all small shareholder know whether the Director is acting in the best interest of everyone or just benefit themselves??

Auditor already signed non disclosure agreement before start audit while their profession also have confidentially as code of conduct..so how you expect them to reply openly in public area? You think this is like normal political drama meh

Kpmg sure keep quiet lo...auditor duty bound to keep information confidential, not tell every father every mother..only during age/egm they have the platform to voice out directly to shareholders..

Very strange so many people here want blame KPMG for not being yes-man..you guys all minority shareholders, don’t even know whether the figures given inside are real or whether they siphon money from company and pocket through 3rd party...auditors are the ones help you guys check and protect your interest..

auditors are bounded by confidentiality clauses..in 1mdb, the company is not a publicly listed company with disclosure requirements..for SB, it is a listed company with disclosure requirements...even then it is SB who announced not KPMG..KPMG only can voice out during AGM/EGM..


ukoris you guys are putting way too much confidence in auditors.

so what if they're the top auditors? does that mean they're always right and can do no wrong? then how did Deloitte and KPMG end up not telling us everything about 1MDB?

Investment Banks all of them also attended the briefing by SD and went through the same issues. Most, if not all of them have downgraded SD. This is already obvious of what they think about explanations given by SD.

1 month ago also didnt buy a lot at 10-11 cents why now will suddenly want buy more when price drop?? not much change in fundamentals compared to 1 month ago...strange..

Victor Yong probably push up the share price before right issue, guessing only :)

@zulmuiz, offer to bumi investor to comply with listing requirements..but seems like they purposely push down the share price so it is unattractive to bumi investor..you can see by their announcement that only 2.8mil out of 116mil shares were subscribed..maybe now they want to push it back up...

just be careful..many times this counter show sudden flurry of activity but die down later..

at the rate it's going, wont be surprise if i can collect at 3 cents next month

Q1 not expected to be great..previously temporary spike and drop back lower soon after..be careful if you can’t hold this stock at least another 6 months..

@DDDD, my previous post got mention that they either think price is too low or they haven’t gotten their people in place..for me it would be the latter..cause last year their group bought almost 80mil of shares and currently there’s only roughly 3mil shares up till 8.5 cents..even at 10 cents, it only cost 300k which is really peanuts to these people..just my opinion though..

The bigger question is whether they have promising projects lined up in place..since their rights issue, their indonesia project is dead after so much promise..their property development seems to have stalled after the change in government..the bright side is the 200mil facility that is granted to them..

@ezmoney, seems like you jinxed it..almost 10mil shares dumped in the past week..

the bumi allocation is definitely on as it is by law that they have to comply..if I’m not wrong it’s around 110mil new shares that would need to be issued and they keep delaying it..obvious reasons are they know the price right now is too low or they haven’t gotten their people in place..it really wouldn’t take much for them to push it back up to 12/15 cents while gaining millions extra from the allocation..

@DDDD, be careful on your optimism as this counter has been promising for past 2 years yet fail to deliver..I previously mentioned that I would buy when either 4 or 8 but have been recently collecting a little at 5.5 and 6..

Yes the trading shares are really low, more like retailers playing among themselves..only time big boys and their affiliates came out was around last sept when they bought huge shares..

for me, it’s wait and see..danajamin wouldn’t guarantee their bond without knowing this group’s potential while there might be hidden t&c that we are unaware of..

@DDDD, with almost no coal business in last 2 quarters as well as the news on termination of acquisition, it seems like it’s game over for indonesia ventures at least in terms of coal sector. Something fishy if you compare Q3 gross profit on trading of coal v Q4 gross profit, same revenue but different profit numbers. The upside is their recent announcement of 200mil bond. It remains to be seen what they are going to do with it.

@yungcrystal, if you are not desperate for the cash then can hold..right now it seems to have stabilize around 5 cents..I’m guessing most of the short term retailers have already sold and now left with long term holders..I personally would buy if it breaks 8 cents..

@yungcrystal, at the current situation no..this counter is famous for blowing water..ie all talk no action..

i have reduced my holdings substantially when it was still 10 cents, i would probably buy some if it reaches back 8 cents or drops to 4 cents.

@zackID , no news. this counter always announce a lot of business proposal but nothing materialize. their construction and m&e biz seems to be reducing drastically while their coal biz seems to be going dead. the ceo mentioned 150mil of coal sales in FY18, so far their coal sales mostly occured in q1 and not even half of 150mil. this is why q2 and q3 look so shit. seems like no more coal sales as well
