Margin calleable means if banks finance your warrants at say 60%, if everytime the price goes below the 60% threshold, you have to top up the the difference. Costly.

This is what exploration is about. High risk and high rewards. If u read their announcements...Hibiscus has said that part of their strategy is to balance their assets portfolio bec of high exploration risk. They bought the australian asset which has proven oilfield. And they are looking for producing assets.

Another possible reason for heavy selldown from last Wed is what the Star wrote..warrant holders received letters from banks last week saying that the margins were calleable on the warrants from 24 Jan onwards (less than 6 months to warrants expiry date). So heavy selling of warrants from Wed - look at the no of warrants traded. Warrant prices slid downwards. Share prices also. Otherwise why would Rex price remain steady. A lot of common shareholders between both companies. If one has insider trading, should also affect the other company.

Thanks Zemen
Tan Sri A.P.Arumugam and his son, Roushan, increased their shareholdings in Hibiscus from 6.4% to 8.8%, or 36.9 mil shares. Arumugam is a smart investor. I dont think, he invested just to make a 20/30% gain. He saw something more. Something that can EASILY multiply his wealth for the next 20 years or more. EASY bcos of the advance technology to discover oil and which cost less that the conventional method. One oil field can produce oil for the next 20yrs. This will increase Hibiscus cash reserves for more oil fields dicovery. Hibiscus is a good stock for child education fund and early retirement. I am voting YES to EMG on 21st and you already have 8.8% of Yes votes just from Arumugam.

Agree with voon. Mother has stabilize and potential for upside. Hold or buy more. Which means the only way for son to move is up up and away
H will soar again

Agree. Their jv with Lime was a pretty good move. There will be three catalysts coming for the stock:
1) the upcoming acquisition of another significant oilfield
2) the listing of Lime on London exchange, which in effect allows buyers of Hibiscus to be in the position of pre-IPO investors at a good price, likely to be done sometime this year
3) striking oil, highly likely given Lime advance drilling technology and method(the Lime group had their pick of whichever oil fields they wanted based on their reputation and technology expertise in the past)

Great news
Upsides :- 3 concessions in a proven oil + gas rich region; exclusive access to proprietary technology which improves chances of finding oil; Hibiscus is project manager of all concessions which gives is day-to-day control of operations; possibility of at least another 4th concession (without increase in purchase price)
