The proposed acquisition is actually seen as fair and in fact a relatively cheap one compared to the other planters. One downside is that the oil palm age profile is young, hence it takes time to yield gains.
Taking a long-term view, the acquisition will expand Ta Ann's market access in Sarawak and once the oil palm enters its maturity, it is able to further improve company's earnings.
Remember, good things take time.
