well it depends on how u determine cheaper. rm3 vs rm5 or pe 100 vs pe 20. Just saying that I think this counter is maybe overvalue atm.i'd rather buy Dutch lady as a defensive stock

but just like unknown, i always discount it for safety margin. since i believe my valuation is not really prudent, i use 50% as safety margin. so it's gonna be about rm 1.90. so that price will be my entry price n wont buy if it's above rm 1.90.

for me valuation is just an indicator whether the stock is over or under valued.i rarely sell my share. i'll only sell if it's very overvalued. eg, 25% over my valuation; rm 3.8*1,25= 4.75. so if it reaches that mark i definately sell it.

i used dcf using fcf based on 9% yearly growth (based on 6 years average growth)and terminal growth of 2%, i get fv of around rm3.8

dont think buy n hold will work here.no fundamental to support for buy hold, big debt but still low roe, very high pe.no point holding if it's only supported by good news.too much risk i'd say

gonna be good buy for value investor tho i may take time for it to go up.fv rm 3 is pretty much reasonable if the company can maintain current growth. vol low so no doubt still uncovered gems

well sure. i dont really spend too much time on valuation, prefer to study the business more. but looking at bv per share, it's obvious it is very undervalued

selling shares wont lead to upwards movement. the whole point about the esos is that the management seems to increase he wealth of the employees by buying back shares and issuing esos. but the ultimate goal for company is to maximise the shareholder's wealth. i know the company have been receiving many awards but the way that doing it now is not a good move for shareholders. hence that is may be one of the reason for the stock to be undervalued by the market

and the esos refers to mudajaya

mat chendana but at the same time thay have been issuing esos. so that share buyback may not be in best interest of share holder.this is worth a second look

let see whether can break strong resistance or not.

nestle, dlady, parkson, kpj, padini, petdag definately satisfy this strict value investing criteria and will be good long term investment if bought at correct price. so definately more than 5

i dont think there's only 5, but if u keep your portfolio smaller u can spend more time to study the business and management of the company in the sense of qualitative factor as quantitavitely, first year accounting can do it.in the end of the day, the essence of value investing is:

1) buy company as a business, the simpler thr business the better
2) look for good and honest management
3) find company with wide moats

if u do enough homework to find company this 3, no matter in malaysia or singapore, or
any other place in the world, it will be a good investment. and the end of the day, figures in financial report is not the main thing to look at, it's just something that give jobs to accountant

plus, u really believe no corruption in singapore?

but the current value investing sifus like buffett and lynch said that 3-5 shares is enough diversification for individual investor.lynch said that in his book and if u check buffett's portfolios, it is more focused on few companies. the ideas is put ur eggs in few basket's and watch your basket

honestly unless u're expecting massive selldown due to greece crisis or bad financial result, which is very unlikely with this share, i think rm 1 is highly unlikely in near futue
